This comes in four big boxes weighing around 170lbs.each. All boards and hardware are labeled well. Me and a friend pre assembled most of it during the week in my garage. Brought in some more muscle on Saturday to carry the assembled pieces out back to the patio. With three guys we had it up and anchored in about 3 hours. Follow the instructions and lay everything out according to part numbers and you will be fine. Pre assembling saved a lot of time on Saturday.

I bought this last June, and it arrived fairly quickly. I paid my landscape architect to assemble it and with a 2.5 person crew, it took about 4 hours. Lots of pieces, but they figured it out. The pergola is solid and the color is beautiful. It has withstood several storms and gusty wind days this past year. To protect , maintain, and preserve the cedar for years to come, I'm planning to put a clear coat of stain on it later this month. I am really satisfied with how it looks. I just wish they made them taller.

My wife and I was looking to dress up our back porch off of our home. We saw this Pergola in a Sam's flyer. It was a nice fit. It allowed my wife to dress up our back porch and provided a wonder place to drink coffee in the morning. It did take longer to build then the manual says and it took three people but it was well worth it. We love it! And we have received many compliments not only from family and friends but even strangers who have pulled in the driveway and told us how nice our porch looks!

I bought this a year ago, May of 2020. All pieces were included and well marked. Based on other reviews we put a clear oil based seal on before putting the pergola together - based on 1 year in use we will likely add another coat this summer. It still looks good but to continue to preserve the wood we will add another coat. This definitely requires 2 people to put it together and sometimes it would have been helpful to have 3 people. I would purchase it again - it's been a nice addition to the patio and provides some shade.

Pergola shipped and arrived within a week of ordering. Discovered a joist missing during assembly. Called customer service and they had a replacement on it's way in two days. Assembly was fairly straightforward but I recommend taking inventory of your parts, having a drill to fine tune pilot holes, and run all the nuts down the bolts prior to assembly. The coating tends to muck the threads up, making them useless. There were extras, but not many. I also ordered some stain as there are alot of touch-ups needed from shipping and assembly. Instructions were ok but take some time to understand so you avoid having to undo steps. It went together more or less as advertised. Added lights and it looks fantastic! .l

I purchased and installed Beaumont Cedar Pergola on my backyard deck. The pergola has added a whole new dimension to the deck and its usefulness. The cedar wood was high quality and smells great. The instructions were straight forward and pergola pieces marked which really helped during installation. Thanks for putting together a great product and a price that's very affordable. I am so happy with my purchase of this pergola. It fits perfect in my space and looks beautiful. We get so many great comments about how pretty it is. We had some issues the installers and Backyard Discovery made it right. I highly recommended anyone that wants a pergola get one from Backyard Discovery. I just ordered the patio cooler to go with it.

Shipment was fast and all the parts were labeled and easy to separate by using the instructions. The color we chose makes it so easy to decorate around and the boards at top make it easy to add lighting to. Having the power source on the side works perfect for electricity as we've plugged fans, phones, and radios up to it numerous times. The structure is very solid and we get so many compliments on it. We also waterproof sealed it to protect it as recommended. Definitely recommend this product!

My wife and I mulled over getting this pergola vs building our own for 6mos. We were terrified it'd be cheap materials. Holy moly am I glad we bought the Discovery kit - it's not cheap at all. Very sturdy! Looked just as great in person as it does in the photos! My wife loves it, she hung some curtain rods and now does tea parties w/ her buddies (not kidding). With the price of lumber this kit is like stealing its such a good deal. I will say, I'd reco staining it before you put it together. Also, make sure you have a friend and two drills and two ladders to put it together - this pergola is no joke!

I was amazed that a structure of this size could be shipped in 4 boxes (each). They are beautifully stained and we have received many compliments from our friends and family. My wife and I waterproofed and assembled them ourselves over a period of a week or so, not being in any rush. They are remarkably sturdy and we chose to add a polycarbonate roof in order to allow year-round use and prolong the life of the structure. We are very happy with our purchase and recommend this product.
