Not Reliable

The drain pump on this dishwasher died at 26 months old. Additionally, the plastic on the front cracked and the moving bar that directs the water spray continually came off its track.

Drop it and run

Unknown if the dishwasher works or not, could have delivery damage, can't tell. Bought this dishwasher with the installation and take away service, and the thought that I would be covered by Sams Club, which it seems advertises it as such but not really, the delivery guys came and dropped the dishwasher and ran back to thier truck on to another false delivery.

Bad experience

I had a very bad experience. I just got a defective item. I've ordered this on Dec 27. I got it today(1/27) after 3 weeks of estimated delivery. Called Sam's Club they transferred it to Samsung customer service. And Samsung CS created a case and told me that they will sand a technician within 5-7 business days. I am living without a working dishwasher for the last 1.5 months. so disappointed with this.

Perfect fit for large families

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have purchased this dishwasher 2x. The first model lasted 8 years. One day it just wouldn't turn on. No warning, the electronic system just died. I love this model so much I purchased again 6 months ago and have had issues from the get go with the auto release mechanism and have needed tech help 2 x to finally replace the door release parts. Overall when working properly, its AMAZINGLY quiet, gets dishes clean and can fit a family of 6 daily dish use in 1 load.

Used to exclusively purchase Samsung Products

It was the greatest most quiet dish washing machine I've ever owned. Then it was silent. The bottom rack sprayer failed, then the water intake failed. But since it was fairly new, I checked the warranty. Yep, Samsung, who was once an amazing company who stood by their products, now builds garbage with built in obsolescence & stickers a 365 day warranty. Samsung used to have half a decade to a full decade warranty because they used to build good solid machines. Samsung now builds garbage.

Leaks continuously

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] There is a design flaw with the tub to front door gasket. The actual gasket is a wafer type that can be inserted into the gasket groove at three different heights. I guess to allow for imperfections in the door. Unfortunately after each use and shutting of the door the gasket pushes deeper into the basket slot and allows water to leak all over the floor. I had the repair team come out twice. Once they replaced the gasket which I already replaced and just adjusted the depth of the gasket. The second time they replaced the entire door. Still leaks. They finally refunded my money for the purchase but I am still out the cost of replacing damaged and wetted flooring from under my kitchen cabinets. If they developed some sort of spacer that fit in the gasket slot that prevents the gasket from getting pushed in to the maximum depth it would Most likely fix the problem. I suggest a Teflon shim or something.

Great Dishwasher!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Remarkable! Having always bought appliances from another company, I was very skeptical to switch to any other company. When my 20 year old dishwasher starting failing, I started looking at reviews for a new one. I decided to look at quality, noise level, features, repair statistics, owner reviews and, of course, cost. No matter how hard I tried to give the edge to the brand I had always used the top pick always came back to Samsung. I took a chance and placed the order and I couldn't be happier. This dishwasher is amazingly quiet and does an exceptional job cleaning the dishes and silverware. I know where I'll be looking when it's time for my next appliance to be replaced.

Unreliable, bad at cleaning, and bad at drying

The dw80r9950ug has not worked well. We purchased it in November 2021. We decided on this model, due to the 3rd rack, very quiet operations, and ratings for drying. At the price point (upper tier), we expected a great machine. When we first got it, it cleaned OK. Not great. We definitely had to keep scraping and rinsing. Not what I wanted for $1100. A top criterion for us was drying. It has never dried well. Working with Samsung support, they stressed Jet Dry, which we use, and they said that plastic dishes tend not to dry well. They are correct. What annoys me is that when we go to VRBOs, the low end dishwashers in those places far outperform our dw80r9950ug in cleaning and drying. I will give it this. This thing is very quiet. I can stand next to it while it runs and not realize it's on. The (lack of) noise is exactly as advertised and very impressive. Less than a year after we got it, we had to have the linear wash (waterwall) device replaced. This was under warranty. After that, it returned to cleaning just OK. We are now at 3.5 years, and it has stopped cleaning well for the last 2-3 months. We normally have to hand wash many of the dishes after a cycle. We had a reputable and experience repair person here today who showed us that the waterwall arm was again not working. It doesn't move. Then he said that Samsung has discontinued this part, and I have since verified that with other parts sellers. I guess I have to buy a new dishwasher. Based on this and the Samsung refrigerator I purchased 10 years ago, I will strongly recommend against purchasing this dishwasher and Samsung appliances in general.
