While brand name toner cartridges are more expensive than 3rd party ones, they actually work well with the printer. I tried a 3rd party and it would not print on labels - it left a smudgy outline of the text. Return to Brother cartridge and it works perfectly on labels as well as standard paper stock.

Toner works very well %26 prints about 4,000-5,000 pages. Great value. Its hard to find this toner bc of how “old” the printer is but it works so efficient, I love it.
