Every time I have a wee dram (or four) of The Glenlivet, I think back to my first taste. High School Student, able to drink across the bridge from Missouri over in Illinois. Picking up date at her house for a dance, her not ready. Her father asking if I would like something to drink. Me saying yes, Dad saying here have some Scotch Whisky. Been a fan ever since. Many years later took him a bottle, a few months later he passed away and his daughter told me he had just a wee dram before he passed. Thanks Mr. Port for the memories.

I've been drinking the 12 year the last 15 years. No other liquor has compared for me until recently......They have changed something and not in a good way. It's missing some of the flavor profile that it's known for. The subtle smokiness to it and some of the "mouth feel" has changed. From what I understand that flavor profile is a distinct part of southern Scotland scotches and it seems like something has been changed. I don't know what they did but I will try one more bottle and if it's still like this I'm going to have to switch to find something else.....

OPENED UP A BOTTLE OF THIS LAST NIGHT. IT IS A PRETTY GOOD, FLAVORFUL SCOTCH. IT HAS A LOT OF PLEASANT NOTES AND FLAVOR FOR THE PRICE. I WILL TRY YOUR OTHER PRODUCTS NOW. TO BE HONEST, MY FAVORITES ARE ALL ISLEYS, ESPECIALLY THE 16 YR. LAGUAVULIN. HOWEVER, I AM NOT A SCOTCH SNOB AND WILL ALWAYS TRY NEW TYPES/BRANDS.

Great product and value. I often feel you get what you pay for and it holds true here. Smooth, flavourful, and a great addition to anyone's whiskey or scotch collection. I would argue it looks more sophisticated than some other brands. We will be buying again and have recommended to friends.

A friend of mine turned me on to this about 40 years ago, and it has been my drink of choice ever since, with 'upgrades' to 15, 18, 25, and 40 year old now in my home bar. One of my grandfathers used to drink Canadian Club exclusively, since he was Canadian. One holiday season, I brought over a bottle of 12 YO as a gift. He was reluctant to try it, and we cajoled him to make the stretch. He took a sip, then another one. He looked at me, and with a wave of his hand said, "Smooth!". It became his drink of choice from that point.

I’m from the west coast of Scotland and have lived here in the USA for the last five years, it’s good to know and feel that warmth from my homeland. I don’t like peaty whisky but the 12yr old glenlivet is so smooth the only thing I would even consider adding is one ice cube.

Delicious!! This was one of the first whiskys I tried THANKS TO LIFE 😅 If you have a fine palate this drink will be friendly, if you don't have a trained palate you will know what a good whiskey is and you will buy it again. I once made a manhattan out of this and it was amazing. I looove it.

After multiple bouts of Covid-19, my sense of taste has been mightily altered. Thankfully, though, my sense of smell has not. When I order at a pub and Glenlivet is not available, I miss the bouquet of my Fav 12-yr old single malt. But, at home, in the evenings, the unmistakable Glenlivet aroma welcomes me back to my sense of belonging and home.

After a trying day at work, fighting traffic and making the mistake of reading the paper, I come home, take my shoes off and turn to my calming effects. 12 year old Glenlivet: two fingers in a crystal glass and two ice cubes. Sit down and sip it, slowly. Feeling the warmth as it trickles down my throat. The world calms down and my insides enjoy and relax. It's Job Well Done.

This is yet another light drinking scotch from Glenlivet. Smooth, easy drinking, prune/raisin/cocoa flavor, but in a light way, that then runs into a mix of charred oak and raw oak tannins at about the same time. It’s not as complex as that sounds, but it’s fun to drink.
