Growing Up Goodnites

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] From our 15 year old son David: I’ve worn diapers my whole life, and for a long time, I felt embarrassed about it. But over the years, I’ve learned to accept and even like them because they help me feel safe, comfortable, and worry-free. When I found out Goodnites XXL existed, I couldn’t wait to try them—and they turned out to be the best I’ve ever worn! These aren’t just great for nighttime; they make everyday life easier too. Whether I’m on a roadtrip with my parents, scouts, or even recently at disneyland for my birthday, I never have to stress about finding a bathroom in time. They fit really well, stay cool, and don’t get itchy like some other brands. The only thing I’d change is adding more absorbency in the back for when I’m sitting or sleeping on my back. But overall, these have made a huge difference in my life. If you need protection like me, just know you’re not alone—there are things out there that can help, and this is definitely one of them!

A huge move in the right direction

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This was a huge move in the right direction. My son was so happy to try this product. He had to switch to adult products at 12. This has made him very upset. The issue we had with this product was it wasn't quite absorbant enough. It needs about 30% more absorbancy and add more padding to the back it stop about 4 inch from the top and it leaked out the back. Also it needs slightly taller leg gathers or be slightly wider because it leaked in the middle as well. They are almost perfect but leaked 2 different times. As far as the fit they fit him perfect and was very happy to have this product. We look forward to seeing this product ready to purchase!

Dry nights and Finally no embarrassing pees

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am an older male 5’8 and 160 pounds. I have bed wetting and daytime bathroom issues with adhd and autism. I have felt embarrassed when I peed my pants and was worried until I bought these. I was worried they would be like diapers, however the stretchy sides and cool underwear prints gave me confidence. These help me stay dry and instead of peeing my pants I feel like a big kid being able to hold my pee in an underwear. I was finally able to go to a sleepover and none of my friends knew my secret. These have saved my life and made me feel cool and safe! 5 stars!

On behalf of my 14 year old son...

This post is VERY long. Tl;dr, highly recommend GoodNites to help ANY bedwetting child We spend a lot of money on these every month so I figured they are worth a review. Bedwetting is actually a really complicated, frustrating, and expensive issue to deal with, even with a product like GoodNites. It is also surprisingly common but no one ever seems to talk about it so there's a dearth of information and support available out there, especially for adolescents and teens (like my son). So I feel like this is a great opportunity to help a lot of people out who are helping a child manage a very mortifying medical issue. If your child is struggling with bedwetting, let me assure you: YOU ARE NOT ALONE and your child has NOTHING to be embarrassed about. According to his Dr. this is just a normal developmental delay. 4% of boys his age wet (14) wet the bed. So he probably has classmates who also struggle. He has NEVER had daytime accidents but night is a totally different story. The thing to remember is it is NOT the child's fault. He also has genetics to blame: I wet the bed until I was about a year older than he currently is. So I figure he's got another solid year left of dealing with this problem. He's still wet 2-3 nights/wk. We have tried alarms, pills, etc. in the past and they did nothing so we've given up on medical intervention and we're just letting time take its course like the Dr suggested. BTW, according to the doc witholding fluid before bed makes no difference. In the meantime, he dozes off at night in a GoodNte. They are the only product which has reliably kept him dry throughout all these years. My son wears them under his PJs every night in lieu of his normal boxers. He has been wearing them at night for a LONG time, ever since he was out of daytime diapers, and never gone without them at night. The GNs come in two new designs: a stripey multicolor brief kind and a camo/heli military kind. My son says he doesn't really care about the designs since he's the only one who sees them anyway, but he did admit that he thinks they look like diapers, just that he doesn't care as long as they work. And the GNs do work pretty perfectly. There is never a leak issue, and my son is a VERY heavy wetter. I asked my son to list some pros and cons about the GNs and this is what he told me: Pros: -Very absorbent--Never a leak. -Hygenic-Bedwetting can lead to skin conditions, but my son has never had a problem with the GNs. He uses a little powder in them at night which I definitely recommend. My son sleeps like a rock so he may be wearing a very full pull-up for many hours. The pull-ups keep things totally clean and sanitary. -Soft and comfortable--Soft padding all the way across the pants. Very stretchy sides that move with the child's body. The GNs are designed to wick away moisture from the skin so the wearer doesn't even feel wet if an accident occurs. His skin is dry to the touch when he takes the GN off in the morning. He sleeps the whole night through without being disturbed and doesn't even feel wet until he wakes up. Cons: -Bulky-Even though they're comfortable my son says they feel very bulky and make his PJs bulge out especially when wet. -Loud--the pants definitely make a noticible rustling noise under PJs when the child moves. To be honest, it sounds like a diaper and I definitely notice it when my son has one on, and my son agrees that the GNs so have a diapery sound to them. -Not Discrete-one of the main selling points of GNs is they're supposed to be discrete but my son says they're anything but because of how loud and bulky they are. Also, the pull-ups ride up above the waistline of my sons PJs so the GN sticks out over the top. Here are some tips directly from my son about his condition: -Definitely use a product like GNs -Don't be afraid to do sleepovers, camp, etc. He wears the GNs no problem. His tip is to wear compression shorts over the night pants and for PJs a large size of the swishy sweatpants to totally hide the GN. -If you happen to wake up in the middle of the night and notice you are wet, definitely change into a fresh GN. Also don't wear the same GN the next night if you wake up dry, just use a fresh one. You can find GNs in the disposible diaper section of your local grocery store or pharmacy, and as a parent the product definitely does come across as being basically a large diaper. I know my son definitely isn't fooled and essentially thinks of them as diapers as well. But, the thing is he isn't embarrassed at all about needing "diapers", or "Pull-ups", or whatever you want to call them, it doesn't matter. All he cares about is whether they leep him dry and the GNs do just that. It's like the bedwetting never even happened. And that's what makes this product so great: it really works like it says it does. My son and I highly recommend them.

S/M in L/XL

My son is 6 yr old and autistic so is not yet potty trained. He is also a big 6 yr old at 115 lbs. He can only wear Goodnites. We have recently bought several packages in bags that would not fit him. It wasn't until we actually opened a pack to put on him that fit perfectly that we realized that the others were mislabeled. Unfortunately you can't tell without opening the pack and stretching them that they are WRONG or right and seeing that you can't do that without buying you are left having to deal with a 16 yr old kid in a grocery store or a very unfriendly customer service rep. We donated them to my son's school but we are a one income family so it hurts to spend money that you don't have. I'm sure it is an easy fix but please do it asap. I only want to help those that are more less fortunate because they are expensive and our only choice.

Leaks due to improper fit.

I noticed small gaps in the front area while my son is wearing these. It appears it is caused from the sides. Couldn't you put tabs on the side like the Huggies Little Movers and Pull Ups that can allow the wearer to adjust the fit? My son is 10 and prefers Pampers size 7's over these for the single fact they don't leak. He would rather wear a baby diaper and wakeup dry. Also, the Pampers size 7's appear to be bigger than the L/XL Goodnites. Why is a baby diaper bigger than a pull up designed to fit a 125lb kid?

We appreciate your feedback regarding the fit of our GoodNites bedtime pants and we want to take a moment to clarify the distinction between the uses of our various products. GoodNites bedtime pants are not designed for kids who are in the potty training process, but instead, they are created for children who are potty trained but are experiencing nighttime bedwetting. It’s for this reason that they look and feel so close to cotton underwear and are without the side fasteners – to mimic that cotton underpants feeling and motions so it can help boost a child’s confidence during this period. While our GoodNites bedtime pants in size L/XL do typically fit children up to 125 lbs, we understand that the individual shape of your son may influence the size he ultimately needs to stay dry at night. Our Consumer Care team would like to work with you to gather more information about your son’s nighttime experiences so we can find a better solution for your entire family. Please consider working with our team either online at or http://bit.ly/2cVqZxt by phone at 1-877-601-6483 (Monday - Friday, 8 am - 6 pm CST) and mention the referral code "SM". We look forward to getting you all back to sleep. Thank you!

Works great!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My large (180 lbs, 5'10" linebacker) 17 year old has worn the goodnites XL for years and has always had leakage issues. The XXL are awesome! They fit him with little stretching and held everything without issues. Thanks Goodnites!

Goodnites pants

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] These bedtime pants are very good. I liked the sample and it makes me want to purchase these kinds of nighttime undies for my son in the future. They do not leak when accidents are made, they just swell. They are easy for him to put on himself and the characters are cute for their age.
