I was making cucumber chips using a knife. It took a lot of time. This dash safe slice saves me a lot of time and it's easier and safer than using a knife and cutting board.

I’ve cut potatoes, tomatoes, celery and cheese. All successfully. Only challenge is getting the area above the blades clean.

Works smoothly and efficiently

too complicated....the little tabs on the back and all the numbers make it difficult to figure out what kind of cut you are going to get. i find it ridiculous and its going back.

Seems very sturdy and looks amazing! The setup was very easy to do. The directions on using it are easy to understand and adjusting the blades is very simple.

Looks beautiful

I didn’t like it. It is very well made, but I did not like using it. I bought it so I wouldn’t cut myself using the mandolin I currently have. I tried slicing onions and shredding carrots. The carrots came out ok, but it didn’t work very well on the onions. There’s no way to get ring slices. I really thought I was going to love this, but I returned it

Well made but isn’t as easy was it looks

I previously owned a mandoline which was the kind where you used the holder to slide the food item you were slicing, and you'd slide the food back and forth over the blade. I loved being able to slice perfectly even slices so quickly. But I only ever did one thing with it, slices, because you had to change blades, and it was just too complicated. It worked for what I needed to do. But last fall, I was going too fast and not using the guard, and I sliced off part of my little finger. I used it a couple of times after that, but then I saw this Dash Safe Slice Mandoline, and I had to have it. It's truly awesome! My fingers don't get near the blades, and I can change the way I cut my food with a turn of the dial and/or rotating the knobs. I've never in my life made homemade french fries, and now I've done it with my Dash Safe Slice Mandoline so easily and so fast! It has a bit of a learning curve on how to get the food cut the way you want it, but it can slice, julienne, dice, etc., and it's one of the biggest helps in the kitchen I have ever had. I love mine, and I highly recommend it!
