It works well but, it is small and a large onion or tomato will not fit.

I received this product today. I read all the instructions and washed it prior to use. I set it on the thinnest setting to slice peeled cucumbers. It was then that I discovered that the online description of the the products capabilities is lacking It is written that it slices as thin as 1mm It is pictured as slicing as thin as 1/2.mm I bought it for the supposed capability of 0.5mm slices. IT CAN NOT SLICE THAT THIN !!!!! IT CAN NOT EVEN COME CLOSE TO LESS THAN 1.0MM THICK SLICES! That's what I wanted it to do.......0.5mm slices.........it can't! Beyond that it is mechanically a beautiful and useful machine for a kitchen.....but I already had one that did eveyting this one can do.....except the supposef 0.5mm slices! If yoiu don't already own a mandoline, the this would be a good first-ownership choice. It you want 0.5mm slices.....look for a used microtome!!!

Great product. Simple to set-up and very easy to use. This design eliminates most all of the problems associated with other style mandolin's. Cleaning is quick and simple. Love it.

Super easy to use with several options for slicing and dicing. Cuts onions, sweet potatoes and other veggies with little effort. The videos showing how easy it is to use is actually true.

This is one of the best food slicer I have come across. It’s extremely easy to use and very safe. The suction cups hold the slicer firmly on counter surface making it very easy to slice/dice. Perfect gift item.

FInally a slicer in which I can't hurt myself! This little slicer packs a punch. So many different ways it can make your life easier and very compact. I love that it also goes in the dishwasher for a good cleaning and is ready to go again. The little brush that comes with the slicer helps to get any stuff food without risking your fingers. I have never been interested in a Mandoline because of the amount of people I know who have hurt themselves pretty bad. However, there is no fear with this little slicer. Highly recommend, even if you currently have a Mandoline, consider buying.

I absolutely love the Dash SafeSlice Mandolin! I actually got it by mistake years ago, but it quickly became my favorite slicer. After about a year, it broke, and I tried buying other brands, but none of them worked as well. Finally, I remembered the Dash brand and ordered another one—and I’m so glad I did! It’s efficient, easy to use, and makes slicing so much easier. I really recommend it to everyone!

Just received my mandoline today. I sliced apples and cucumbers. Made zucchini sticks for a breaded Parmesan recipe. It was easy to use although helpful to see a utube video,

I purchased this after researching mandolines far and near & was worried about knicking my fingers. This eliminates that problem & slices up everything so quickly! I also love that there isn't a piece left at the end so you can utilize all of what you're chopping up. love it.
