It is designed to look simple and elegant. Not over done. It holds two 8 gallon bins, which is quite adequate for a few days of trash and recyclables. Fits the 13 gallon trash bags perfectly. The lever operation is smooth and easy. No bad odor nearby, which means it seals pretty good. Shipped quick and arrived in good shape. Installing trash bags inside the bins is a little tricky and they do not stay in place perfectly, although not bad by any means.

We ordered this trash can recently as the lid broke on our other step-lid can. What attracted me to this one was that it had a section for garbage and a section for recycling in the same unit. We ordered the stainless steel unit. What I like about it is that the bins themselves have a metal hanger you can use to remove the bin completely if needed. That is helpful for cleaning, or if the bag tears. I also like that it came with enclosed color-coding stickers so you can apply a color to each side to help guests figure out which side is for what. I use the blue for regular trash and green for recycling. The only thing I’ll have to get used to is that both bins are the same size equally. I am using a 13 gallon bag in each bin but I would venture to say each side holds maybe 8-10 gallons. They are equal in size. Which, that is fine— but I am used to my 13 gallon trash can, and my recycling bin is typically about 5 gallons. So, that is just something I will have to get used to— having the same size for both trash and recycling. But overall this is a very nice unit. It is well-constructed and feels sturdy. It looks very nice in my kitchen. I would buy again.

I ordered the 16 gal. trash and recycling bin but returned it because it arrived dented. It was very easy to bring it back to my local store and get a refund. I then ordered the 13 gal. version which arrived in perfect condition. It fit perfectly into the spot I wanted it for and it works great. Makes for a very tidy trash/recycling area.

It is really great, no problems at all so far (in the last 2 weeks). I love the appearance and the fact that I could finally buy a large can for both trash and recycling items for less than $100! It makes life so much easier. I'm only a little concerned about the durability of the pedal (we had a trash can before with problems, that might be why I'm worried that'll happen to this one too). I wish there was a way to open the lids without the pedal just in case it does run into problems. Otherwise, it's perfect!

We've had this double garbage pail for a few weeks now. Love it! Looks can be deceiving....as it holds alot of garbage (we do alot of cooking). We got tired of having a kitchen garbage bag hanging on our back door to throw our recycled bottles into, so we purchased this! We throw the water bottles directly into the pail,

Can is a good size in both compartments, and I love that it encourages my family to really consider what they are recycling and what needs to go in the trash. Has enabled us to cut back on trips to the outdoor can.....used to have to go out one or two times a day with a regular can and can now go two days without needing to dump. I'm a little concerned about durability....there was a pretty significant dent in the side of the can when received. I was able to pound most of it out with my hand but there is still a dimple......the square sides may lend themselves to more punishment. Overall, happy with results thus far.

Received this order Fast and it was well packaged. The combo trash can is very nice, both compartments (recycle/trash) have handles when the buckets are full for easy pull out and an easy rinse if they get dirty. This is a no hands toss trash/ recycle; step on the bottom pedal and the door lifts open. The compact unit is stainless steel and with black trim, it is very attractive and matches perfect in my kitchen. I have had numerous compliments and requests on where they can buy one. Cons: If you put a liner in the trash compartment it easily falls due to the handle. I have had to adjust trash liners a few time.

I was optimistic that previous reviews of this product arriving in rough shape were anomalies and my experience would be different. Well apparently either the manufacturer or the distributor have issues with shipping this product without breaking it. Upon arrival and inspection the bottom parameter (black plastic) was broken into numerous pieces. Based on other reviews I considered myself lucky as at least the thing wasnt dented like many others have reported. The broke pieces did not affect the function of the product so overall it works well and fits our space nicely. I could see a longevity issue however with the construction of the foot petal and corresponding arm mechanism.

I bought a Simple Human dual trash can, took it home, and realized I really didnt like that it had one lid for both bins and no liner in the garbage side. Every time youd throw recycle away you also have to open the trash side. I returned it within the same day and when researching other dual trash cans, I found this one. I ordered it, it came in perfect condition and I love it! It has bins for both sides, separate pedals and lids and it looks great. It has silicone no slip surface on the bottom so it also doesn't migrate across the floor. The size is great and seems even a bit bigger than the other dual cans Ive looked at. This is going down as one of my favorite purchases ever. It also helps that iss about $80-$100 cheaper than the simple human can. I highly recommend this.

I really like this garbage can! We needed a double can because we have a lot of recycling. This keeps our kitchen more organized, neat, and clean! I really like that the stainless steel looks good no matter what your décor style is. The lids sir flush against the sides so in order to open the lids you HAVE to step on the peddle. I really like this because my dogs can't bump the lid up or my young toddler can't throw away items on her own because she doesn't understand she has to step on the peddle. It's very nice quality and it even comes with it's own decals so you can label which side you want to throw away what kind of items (Trash, Recycling, Green -compostable items- etc.) Over all this trash can is perfect! I wish the individual bins were a tad bigger but that's not bad we just take out the trash more often.
