I am not certain why or how this product has received good reviews. I had one problem after another with the assembly. All issues had to do with quality control or the lack thereof. The design of the product is excellence. It is just poorly constructed. The box arrived undamaged. Yet, a half dozen pieces were severely bent--one major cross structure so badly damaged I needed the assistance of a machine shop. Three of the eight holes necessary for the attachment of the drawer fronts were stripped from the onset. Here, I had to resort to epoxy and pray it holds. I have several Seville products. Most arrive with some minor problems. This piece was terrible.

Decent bench, not heavy duty, but works well for daily light & med. duty apps. Not well protected in carton, so mine (which I had shipped) had several small dents, dings, and the top shelf's corner was very bent. I would buy again, but only in the store, where I can inspect first, and handle properly to prevent damage in transit. I did have to use a hand tap on one of the threaded inserts where a burr prevented the screw from threading properly. The magnetic tipped screwdriver (provided with this unit) is handy. Caution: bulb in light is delicate. Consider removing it before installing light unit. I also added an additional power strip on the shelf above which stays on and powers the light, phone, and battery chargers. Hope this helps...

After researching butcher block workbenches that cost 700 or more, I found this one. I was skeptical of the quality, but read the reviews and decided to take a chance. This is the best piece of assemble at home furniture I've ever bought. The quality is top notch and worth every penny. It just proves that a company can actually provide a product at a price where everyone wins. The assembly was painless and took about an hour.

I found this item to be very well constructed with good instructions. This is a large solid wood workbench for garage use, the pegboard is metal, lighting in good, good quality drawers a top shelf and lining for the top shelf and drawers, includes a power strip. Great quality for the price.

I'm an avid do it your self person and was looking for a solid work bench to put in my basement work shop. I found this bench on sale and decided to buy it. It is very well made, went together easily because all the parts and I do mean all the parts FIT exactly as they should. This is a heavy bench the solid top is gorgeous, the drawers slide easily, the mounted light is just an added bonus and the adjustable legs are a plus. I highly recommend this bench, you won't be sorry you purchased it.

This workbench is just what I needed. Excellent features and materials: Solid hardwood butcher block top; quality metal materials, even the pegboard! Ball bearing drawer slides...are you kidding me!? It comes well packaged in one HEAVY box. FedEx left it on my porch, so I unpacked it and moved it piece by piece into the garage for assembly. Instructions are easy to follow and all parts and fastener bags are labeled. Only glitch was a pegboard support (1 of 2) whose pre-drilled holes were slightly out of alignment with the attachment holes. I was able to make it work. I had to give 4/5 stars for that issue. The drawers, overhead light, power strip, pegboard, and quality materials at a reasonable price make this bench a winner. Highly recommended!

Bought two, after months of research, retiring at the end of this year, Happy with the purchase with the following comments: 1) The Shipping Boxes were beat to death but only had a few dents & bents. 2) Wish there had been a Bottom Shelf included. 3) The drawers required extra effort & needs improvement.4) Took me four hours to assemble, I'm Old.

This workbench is a great value, it's very high quality, has very well written instructions and the company has excellent customer service. One of the drawer front's had a stripped screw socket and they sent me a new one with out needing an RGA number or having to return the bad one. I highly recommend their products.

Order this online thru Sam's Club after reading all the positive reviews. Instructions recommend you install this w/two people, which is perfect, in a perfect world. But instead, I did it myself and it took a little over 2 hours to do. It wasn't hard at all, but just a lot of following instructions/pictures and a lot of screwing. After I installed it, it was and felt very durable and sturdy. Fits perfectly in my garage next to our entrance. Just need time to clean up the clutter-looking cables in the back of this workbench, otherwise it is ready to be used. (I'm still not sure if I should drill a hole into the wooden surface, to install a bench vise, cause not sure if I want to damage the nice surface. Decisions, Decisions! :))

My husband and I assembled this in two hrs. or less. While working, we continually marveled at the clarity of instructions for assembly and the ease with which it went together. It is attractive, well-finished, and functional and all for an exceptional price. I would have expected to pay twice the price for this. The only caveat I could add is that if you are short, the counter top might be a little tall. It finished out at a counter height of 37 1/2 inches.
