my review is good and informative.

I have been living on this almost exclusively for a few years now. You think this would affect my health. Well it has I am more healthier then I have ever been my vitamin and mineral levels are better then they ever have been and each pack of food is more then enough for me to eat for 1 meal. The only complaint I have is I wish ever bucket included some sort of meat. The dried meat is great so long as you season it as you rehydrate it. As well as adding to their meat selection a dehydrated fish product or even a salmon patty that can be rehydrated and fried. Otherwise if you want a affordable meal option this is the best emergency food I have found and I have tried several. You want something to keep in your car get a small bucket or your basement a larger bucket for the time when you need it most. You will be grateful you have it when you need it for that time a emergency is upon you. How many times have you heard of someone stuck in the middle of winter and died in their car from starvation because nobody could get to them, Or a family was found on the verge of death after a tornado hurricane of flooding because they did not have the food they needed. You have one of these buckets and a way to heat water and you have everything you need to survive for days depending on how you ration your food. A 72hour bucket is plenty to ration for 6 days food if you do it right.

NIGHTMARE TO OPEN DON'T BUY THE FOOD BUCKETS

This bucket is a nightmare to open. After struggling for about an hour I finally did get one corner and part of one side up and bent back enough to get the pouches out with my hand. Do not buy the food buckets! I am upset and angry that my purchases may end up in the landfill because I can't get them open. I wrote a letter of complaint to the company.

Cheese Mac tastes fine. That is all we tried.

Had this for about a year in my camper. Finally we opened it up to try it. We tried the Mac and cheese. We used on package of noodles and half of the powdered cheese. Followed the instructions. When I went to dump the powdered cheese in the noodles the powder clumped up. I added some milk and kept stirring. It took a while but the cheese finally mixed in. The taste was fine and nobody complained. We brought some leftovers home and my kids had it with some Wolfbrand chili. They liked it. The cheese powder pouch has a ziplock on it so aren't forced to use it all at once. So far I am happy with the purchase and will be getting another one.

Could be better

Personally, I found the food to be surprisingly good. However, I do not consider this to contain 92 servings. There are 7 packages with dinner selections, 6 packages of soup selections, 2 packages of elbow macaroni, 1 package of cheese powder, and 1 package of chocolate pudding. Each package serves 2 or 3 people at most. The plastic container was nearly impossible to open, and there are no directions included. Good food in my opinion, but include some directions, provide more servings, and make the package easier to open.

Do Your Homework

If you notice on the pail it states 21,020 total calories per the entire pail. At 92 total meals as stated, that's only a 228.479 calorie intake per suggested meal. That in my opinion is a near starvation diet. At a 2000 calorie intake per day, that is 10.51 meals. That equates to $3.427 per meal. Its far more economical to do a Walmart search for one gallon Mylar bags and oxygen absorbers and purchase side dish meals, hot cereals, pancake mix at Walmart the very same thing as in these pails and do your own. There's no bargain here at even their reduced price of $36.01, NONE! That's just my own personal opinion.

loved it all wouldn't change a thing if I was to change anything. It would be that you could buy the packets that came in it versus the big hands of it. So it doesn't go bad as fast

Buy something else!

Very cheap and bad tasting, I should have spent more for quality emergency food. I feel sorry for anyone who’s going to find out in a pinch that their survival food is barely edible

Emergency Food Supply

This went on sale and I jumped on it. A real good addition to our emergency food supply. If it goes on sale again I believe I will purchase another pail.

ALERT: This survival food has a short shelf life !

WARNING: This bucket of so=called "survival food" is supposed to be good for a minimum of 25 yrs. from date of purchase. But the bucket I received is only good for 9 yrs., according the sticker on the bucket !!! Few people know this info

Not all products have 20 year shelf life

The product clearly advertises a 20 year shelf life, yet some of the products within the bucket have only a 5 year shelf life. Buyer beware.
