This workbench is very sturdy and looks great. Assembly requires two people. However, I should have listened to my son when he suggested getting a separate pegboard and light. The idea of the attached pegboard is pretty good in theory, with the small shelf attached on top with the light underneath. However, it makes the top two or three holes in the pegboard useless because the pegboard hooks cannot be fitted into them. The top shelf and light interfere with the angle needed to put the hooks into the holes. Otherwise, I am pleased with the workbench so far (I just got it about a week ago).

I couldn’t be happier with the QUALITY and THOUGHT that went into this work bench. The peg board, overhead light and power strip were a big PLUS. They even provide you with various hooks for the peg board and mats for the drawer and shelf. It took me about 2-3 hours to assembly the bench and though it comes with a wrench and screwdriver, I opted to use my cordless screwdriver. One NOTE: While putting the various sections together, the instructions CAUTIONS you to keep the screws loose until everything is fitted together, then tighten. This is very good advice!! As stated previously, I couldn’t be happier with the bench.

We just received our work bench and were pleasantly surprised at the quality. it is heavy duty and we were not expecting the wooden top to be finished but it has such a nice finish on it you will hate to scratch it up. went together so easily, all parts were enclosed and each piece fit together as they should. compared to the big box home stores you will find this to be a superior product at an attractive price.

This is a well designed and very nice looking workbench. You won't find a better workbench. Each part was wrapped in plastic and separated by styrofoam in the packing carton. All parts were labeled and assembly instructions were well written and easy to follow. Each part had a threaded insert and all parts aligned perfectly. They also provided a wrench and screw driver. The two drawers on ball bearing slides work smoothly. The shipping weight was 165 lbs, so we ordered it on line rather than take it home from the store. FedEx Ground brought it into our garage where I set it up. It was well worth the $14.95 shipping charge not to have to load in the car and take it out at home. They suggest assembly by two people but I did it by myself which added time but was not difficult. You won't go wrong with this work bench.

This bench I bought as a gift for my husband. I looked on line to compare the prices and quality and this one come up as #1. Putting it together took some time but all parts fit very well and really you need only 2 tools provided by the manufacturer.

This workbench is great quality, very sturdy for the price. I don't think the online description of the bench tells you the pegboard back is metal, not fiberboard....nice. It is somewhat tedious to build as all of Seville products I have purchased are, but worth the effort. I am very mechanical but had some difficulty putting the shelf together on this bench. The instructions could have been more helpful.... or maybe I was just getting tired. When I was almost finished my wife noticed I had the pegboard panels installed in the wrong order and she was right. It only took a couple minutes to correct. They do include some extra screws in case you bug some up, The top is so nice I won't want to use it.

I purchased this on a Black Friday special and couldn't be more happy with my purchase. The design, quality, packaging, and workmanship are excellent. I put it together myself other than flipping it over after initial setup. The parts are all clearly labeled in individual bags and there were no missing parts. In fact, they included a few extra screws, bolts, etc. There was never an alignment problem or stripped threads. The workbench finished butcher block top is beautiful and I hate to even use it as a work surface. The color is a nice silver/light gray and looks good in my garage. The light and outlet strip are nice touches. Be prepared to spend a fair amount of time assembling the workbench because there are a lot of screws. This is especially true for assembling the 2 drawers. I used hand tools at first then eventually switched to my power drill with a screwdriver bit. Although I was fortunate to have purchased this at a discount it's still a great value at Sam's normal pricing. Fedex delivery became a problem because of a vacation hold, but that wasn't Sam's fault. Sam's kindly helped resolve the problem with Fedex. The single package arrived in good condition. The only thing to improve this for me would be for Seville and Sam's to offer a larger version. This is a standard size bench but I would have preferred it to be a little larger. Thanks Seville and Sam's for an excellent product with great pricing.

Very nice workbench for light assembly work. I had to mill the slots on the back uprights out around 1/4" longer for the pegboard plates to assemble correctly. Also the stainless front drawer plate was a little bent and had to be straightened, and one side's rivet nuts didn't line up, so I put in self tapping screws instead. I'm fine with this because a similar workbench from an industrial supply place was almost twice the price. A more robust domestically made bench was 3-4x the price.

The Seville Lighted Hardwood Top Workbench will be a asset to my shop...which is really a guess at the time since I just built it. But....it is solid, heavy, and beautifully designed. I look forward to many years of hard use. Assembly was not difficult, but you might want to be pretty handy before you start. Or get your handy uncle to help. Does not require a second person, but hefting the unit around during assembly would be simpler with a helper. When you complete assembly, you will have one rugged work space that will impress your friends and confound your enemies.

Got friends of mine to help put this workbench together. Easy to follow directions; probably could have put it together myself. Pretty heavy to lift up, but glad it was not a "tin" item. Parts are made of heavy, sturdy material. Was most impressed with the butcher block top and the fact that pegboard is metal. Just love it - and I am a woman who likes having a workbench in my garage. Didn't expect it to be such good quality. Would get more items from the manufacturer.
