My wife and her friend saw this gazebo at Sams Warehouse for $1600. Price was right so we ordered it right away. They let us know that Sams had ordered 6 of these and wasnt expected to come in for quite a while. So I got on to the internet to find it somewhere else. Now when I was doing this it was right before Mothers Day and this was going to be perfect for her in the backyard. In my search i found this same gazebo on your website Backyard Discovery. But at a substantually higher cost $2400. My wife didnt like it but I ordered it anyway knowing it was going to be here the following week. . Timing was perfect for her Mothers Day. I bought it and our sons came to put it together on Mothers Day. I have to say this kit was really well thought out. the instructions were so easy to follow. Even for this dum truckdriver. I was impressed that all the pieces were marked and the directions were easy to follow. I would buy other products form Backyard Discovery.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We bought and assembled this Gazebo in the middle of summer. I did the vast majority of the assembly by myself. I just need help lifting the four roof sections to the top of gazebo. My Dad and My son also helped me remove all the blue plastic that was protecting all the roof sheet metal parts. That would have taken me an extra day if I had to do that on my own. It is very sturdy. We also added an indoor-outdoor fan to the top of the gazebo. We also added lights and mounted a TV with an outdoor cover. The only think I can say negative about this gazebo, is that it really needs gutters. If we have rain and it is windy too, everything under the gazebo still gets soaked.

I purchased the Grill Gazebo XL as well as the 14’X10’ Cordova for our newly renovated back yard space. The Grill Gazebo XL, I put together by myself and just had a friend help me lift the roof section onto the frame. With the Cordova, I had 2 friends help and we had a pretty good system down by the end. Had it not started to rain it would’ve only taken us about 6 hours in total. Still, with the rain delay, it only took about 8 hours total time. We added a few accessories to each structure such as lights, a ceiling fan in the Cordova s well as a couple roll-up shades on the Cordova to help shield against the harsh sunlight when it’s low in the sky or a brisk wind. Between the included instructions and the app, assemble was pretty straightforward. Once you complete on section, it’s mostly all repetitive but don’t get carried away. Read the instructions and stick to them. All-in-all, I’m thoroughly impressed with the look and quality of both products. Time will tell how they hold up to the Midwest winter months but I don’t anticipate and issues.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We bought this gazebo earlier this year, with the plan on having a builder put it together for us… the builder ended up not being able to do it for months. So we ended up getting my family together and we built it ourselves. I would definitely recommend the option to have it built when delivered. It took my family 2 days to complete the build. The instructions were great but it’s just hard to do if you have no experience. Luckily my Dad does so it made it much easier for us. I would buy again and recommend to friends.

I purchased and built a 16x12 Barrington Gazebo this past summer and we have absolutely loved it! I would say that everyday that we had good weather, we were under it. We thought that even in a light rain with no wind, we could hang out, but unfortunately, without anything catching the rain dripping off the roof, it would hit the concrete and splatter back under the gazebo, making the practical usable area very small under the gazebo. Backyard Discovery does not offer a gutter system for their gazebos, and I really didn't like the look of the offerings from some of the other gazebo manufacturers out there. So, I designed my own. It was relatively simple, but would have been easier had I done it when first building the unit. First, I removed the trim pieces around the outside of the roof. Then I added 4" flashing under the roof panels, hanging down the facial board about 3". I had purchased steel J channel (brown, nearly the same color as the supplied trim), which I attached under the flashing with a stainless steel screw through the flashing and J channel into the facial board. I had to cut, bend, rivet, and caulk the corners of the J channel. I also had to make sure there was a slight slope from corner to corner so the water would flow correctly. On the lowest corner (opposite corner being the highest), I simply channeled the water out into the yard, instead of a downspout. Although a downspout would work also. Then I reinstalled the original trim with it also handing into the J channel. It really turned out great, looks great, and works perfectly. It handles light to medium rains easily, and allow us to hang out under the gazebo and stay dry. I think it would be great if Backyard Discovery would include this with the gazebo originally, or as an option. But until then, this is a great DIY for it.

Did a lot of research before purchasing this gazebo since the market has several to choose from. But my family and I decided on this one, and so far we are very pleased with our purchased. The instructions were very easy to follow, these gazebo took me and my son 3 days to build. But to stand it up it took 4 of us but for a few minutes. The only issue I had with the gazebo was some of the wood pieces were warped and didn’t line up correctly. That’s the reason for the 4 stars but it more like 4.5 starts. But I would definitely buy more products form Backyard.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We live in South Carolina on the coast so we needed a shelter that sould withstand hurricane winds. Backyard Discovery was the only company that offered us a choice that fit our needs and price point. When constructing the gazebo I found that you can put it together a little differently than the instructions and still get great results, especially on the roof parts. for the most part it was a one person job. DO NOT try to install the roof panels without help. Preferrably three strong men. As you can see by the pictures, the end product is great. We love the way it turned out and it has been a pleasure to use. We added gutters because it was close to the house and we wanted to have a way to get to it without getting wet. It worked out better than we exp[ected. Overall it's a good value. It does take some expertise to put together, but a handy person can do it.

My husband and I assembled it over the course of a few days. We enjoyed it all summer and have enjoyed the shade. We also liked it electric box that comes with it.
