Great except for default energy save mode

Great dryer replacing my very similar LG dryer. One star was deducted because with the energy save mode engaged drying time is extended. The reason is that the first 40 minuets in this mode are air dry only. The machine is set by default to the energy saver mode. The quick solution it to use the timer dry mode but that defeats the use of other useful modes. I've try to defeat this mode but despite youtube videos and others I have not been able to do accomplish this. LG can you help?

Hey there. It’s great to hear your new LG dryer is continuing the strong performance you’ve come to expect. The energy saver mode optimizes efficiency, starting with an air dry cycle before applying heat. To disable it, press and hold the Wrinkle Care button until you hear a beep, then press and hold both the Time and Temp buttons for three seconds.
