Samsung 27" Borderless LED Display, Full HD, Monitor

Samsung 27" Monitor

The price is good, but it wasn't level when I set up the monitor.  I had to use a felt pad under one leg of the stand to level it out.

Crooked

I bought this monitor today. The specifications say that it is 29.65 x 16.85 x 4.92 In. It is 24 x 14. I was disappointed, in that I was looking for a larger monitor than I already had. Picture is bright, I’m sure it will be ok. Still disappointed with size.

Not as described

This monitor is listed as having a DisplayPort input on the website, when it actually only has HDMI and VGA.  

This seems to be a reoccurring theme on the SC site as nearly all of the monitors that list a DisplayPort do not have one. 

Returning these to the club for a refund.

Just an average monitor at leat at this price it should have a 1440p resolution because of the screen you can sleep the low quality display.

They moved the location of the 4 mounting holes so these will not mount at the same level as the monitors I bought last year. I ordered 3 more monitors to fill out my 6 place tree but wouldn't you know it, these will not match up.

Beware dimensions are incorrect in spec. Actually 24w x 18.5h x 5d. May be a good monitor but it won't fit in my space.

The resolution is really not all that great. Chunky pixels is what I see compared to my year old monitor that came with my computer.

Even though it's a monitor I'm actually using it to replace an eight-year-old 24" Vizio TV as I replaced a 24" Dell computer monitor at my home workstation (monitor on the left TV on the right) with a 27" LG OLED gaming monitor. Found this 27" Samsung for a hundred bucks and change and to be honest I mostly stream now so the lack of an OTA TV tuner was not a deal breaker. Side-by-side of course there's a difference between the $850 LG OLED and the "hundred bucks and change" LED Samsung monitor, but for regular streaming video it's fine. Something really big like a streaming movie I just bought I'll push to the OLED but just channel surfing streaming after work this monitor does the job well.

The downside is it doesn't have a sound output from its HDMI input signal like the Vizio TV so to get sound I had to upgrade to a fancier Roku streaming box that has a headphone jack output on the remote. I know pretty much no one will try and use this as a TV, but if you watch streaming videos on your computer, for the price, this is an excellent choice.

As someone who remembers the NEC, Dell, and ViewSonic 15" tube TV computer monitors of the late '90's and early 2000's which often cost twice as much as this in 2000 dollars, this is well worth it. If Samsung added a TV tuner, coax antenna input and sound output jack for few dollars more, they'd have the best 27" desktop TV on the market, hands down.
