I unboxed it. Read the owners manual. Popped the side panel off to add oil and gazed at the impressive workmanship of this unit. Put provided oil into it. Put gas into it. Turned the switch to start. Pulled the started cord and was rewarded by the sweet sound of a perfectly tuned 4-stroke gas engine on the first pull. I tested output by plugging in the nearest electrical device which was my shop vac. It fired right up. I'm impressed. Now waiting for Dorian to get here. Bring it! I'm ready.

Be very careful to follow the starting instructions in the operators manual and you will be happy . This generator is so easy to start, and it's so quiet while running. . Never worry about a storm or power outage again. What a quality generator by Generac!!

We needed a generator for our High School Marching Band, especially for the field show competitions which are usually held on football fields. We needed on that was super quiet but capable of over 2000 watts for the sound equipment. It's so quiet that you can't hear it running from the bleachers at all! It doesn't detract from the field show and it has plenty of power! Our high schoolers can start it and move it quickly and easily. Highly recommend if you want a quiet generator that has more power than some of the others.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was lucky enough to receive the Generac Dual Fuel Portable Generator as a gift from Influenster for review, and while we haven’t needed to put it to the test yet (thankfully, no power outages!), I can already tell this is a game-changer for our home. From the moment it arrived, I was impressed. The generator feels incredibly well-built — solid, durable, and thoughtfully designed. The dual fuel capability was one of the first features that caught my attention; being able to choose between gasoline and propane adds so much flexibility and peace of mind, especially during emergencies when fuel availability can be unpredictable. Setting it up was straightforward. The instructions were clear, and the controls are easy to understand, even for someone who isn’t super experienced with generators. I also love that it comes with a mobility kit, making it much easier to move into place if and when we need it. While we haven’t had the chance to run it yet, just knowing we have a reliable, high-powered backup ready to go is a huge comfort. I truly appreciate that Influenster gave us the opportunity to be ready for whatever comes our way. Can’t wait to update this review once we officially put the Generac to work — but for now, it’s getting five stars just for the quality, design, and peace of mind it brings.

I purchased this on 10/05/2019. I bought this to run a couple of rental houses when the power goes out, instead of hauling my big one around. I have no problems getting it started but after 15 minutes of running, it stops on its own. I'm just running it without being connected to anything. I'm not sure how this is going to work when the power goes out and I need to get electricity to power on. Time will tell. The book says check oil but oil was new and just added. I can't really say if I can recommend this at this time.

I purchased my first 3500iq took it home and fired it up ran it through the break in period it ran perfect until I plugged in my 1500 watt heat gun.. it started to make a loud howling noise unplugged the heat gun and noise was gone… done this several times noise still there called the dealer that sold it to me and the next day I had a replacement… I’ve been using my replacement lots and it’s been working perfect…super quiet and good on fuel…I am very happy with it… Thank you to the dealer for being swift on the replacement Highly Recommend

Nice size, unbelievably quiet. I have a Genrac Home Standby generator and have had great luck with it so hoping for the same with the portable. I wish 'RV Ready' meant it had a 30A RV plug instead of 30LR5 Twistlock or at least make it an option to eliminate the need for an adapter. Wish there was a wheel kit, cover, & other accessories available for this unit.

I just purchased a IQ3500. The unit came with everything needed less the gasoline. I read the manual and filled the unit with the provided oil, added 100% gas and fired it up. It started immediately and ran great. Ultra quite and very smooth. I plugged in some lights for a lite load and ran it for 1.5 hours. I shut it down and checked the oil level. I am very happy with my purchase. This is my second Generac generator that I own. My older one is an 11 year old 7500 watt and still runs like new. Thanks for building reliable products!

Being in my late seventies this unit was recommend by my son in law because it would be lighter and quieter. We do a lot of ice fishing and the dealer also recommends this unit to handle all of our needs. It also has sleek features and handles easily.

I bought this for my camper. I realized it wasn't powerful enough to run my ac unit so bought another to run in parallel and still wouldn't run my ac. Good for smaller items just disappointed I now have 2 and still not powerful enough for my needs. Will run a fridge no problem though.
