Sweet Little Gen!

I have used this for power loss during a hurricane, tailgating, and camping. This unit starts every time with little to no effort. It is very quiet and it is strong. During the last hurricane I ran my TV, router, cable box, fans, and lights with this bad boy! I highly recommend it.

Quiet, small footprint, easy starting.

I got the Generac IQ3500 to replace a much cheaper, much larger, very much louder generator. The Generac doesn't have as much power, but is so much better in the size and noise areas. I had never really used our old generator and I gave it to my son who used it to build a shed on his property. It failed after a few hours, It was cheap, but had no reliability. The Generac is so much nicer. It doesn't come with wheels but a $30 simple cart makes it portable. It now takes a much smaller spot in my small garage than the old unreliable generator. I have not really used it yet (other than to test it) since it is meant as a power back-up.

A perfect fit in my pickup bed.

As an Oregon State Beavers football fan, the color scheme is a hit. The generator fits perfectly in my pickup bed. I can close the trifold bed cover with room to spare. I wanted a pull start generator, because the self start requires an expensive battery. Go Generac!Giudo

Good build quality, and Quiet.

So this is my first time owning a decent sized generator, and I didn't want to skimp on quality. this generator has surpassed my expectations, it is very quiet (on my last camping trip I even had a few people ask me if it was running when it was). I have only used it twice so far since I bought it so I can't say much about the reliability but I know that Generac makes some good products, so it should last me a long time. It does have some good features, what I like the most is it has a digital readout for the fuel level so your not guessing. Overall a good product for what I need it for so far.

Excited about this generator. Great look at very reasonable price.

I bought this generator as a backup for the home's Refrigerator and Freezer in the event of power outage. It has plenty of cranking amps and wattage to power those and several other small appliances. It is relatively light weight and the hand hold handle makes it easy when moving it around. I may even use it for some outdoor construction projects. I cranked it after I recieved it and it is really quiet... I like that - shouldn't offend the neighbors. Easy pull start and a great sleek look. I would recommend this product to anyone needing a generator in this class!

Happy to have purchgased the IQ2000 over the red competitor

I struggled with the decision to purchase the IQ2000 over the EU 2000i. I needed a compact, quiet, conservative generator to power my 32 foot boat while docked away from port. After listening to a trusted freind who had researched the product and stressed the fact it had been tested by three independent labratories; I bit the bullet and made the purchase, That evening after oiling and gassing my new unit it sat runnning next to a honda both at full load, as they were heating the hot water tanks in the boats. The Honda was predominantly the loudest across all load conditions. The LED instrumentation was also great, i could look from inside my boat when I woke in the morning to see the remaining fuel level before starting the coffee pot. Throughout the entire Memorial day weekend "60hrs" of use the IQ2000 burned 5 gallons of fuel. Needless to say, I made the right choice and got alot of Honda owners attention.

Good product

I think its a great generator, however it was damaged upon delivery. The housing cage was bent and the panel also a little bent up. Normally I would have sent it back but needed it ASAP. Overall it runs great but was extremely disappointed with the damage upon delivery.

Brand new out of the box and to the shop!

We ordered this Generac generator because of the positive reviews but sadly are disappointed. We had to order two and neither one of them worked as they should. The first one the exhaust blew white smoke and a strong odor of fuel/oil. We followed the instructions in the owners manual. We ran it several times hoping it would go away. It was suggested by Generac customer service to send it back. We ordered a second one with high hopes that this one would be good. However, after prepping it as recommended in the owners manual, the green ready light did not come on. We plugged lesser expensive equipment in to the unit and it worked. However, if the ready light isn't working properly, how do we know the overload and oil lights are working. This time Generac customer service suggested we take it to a certified place of service. So we have a brand new out of the box Generac generator at a service center, never been used. Very disappointing. It's been 5 weeks since we ordered the first one and we have yet to have a working generator.

Super impressed at first but then...

I bought this generator to run my cab-over camper on various trips throughout the year. I had a 2K watt previously and it just wasn't enough to handle the microwave and other accessories, so I upgraded to the Generac 3K watt and at first was impressed at how quiet it was and how it seemed to handle all my accessories fairly easy ripening through the 30amp RV outlet, but then...on a recent trip I decided to camp in a tent shelter and use the generator to run a 1500 watt space heater to keep warm at night, but unfortunately it was not able to run the heater without going into fault mode. So I went to town and bought a second heater and had the same issue. I tried powering it through the 30 amp outlet with an adapter and had the same problem. Unfortunately I have no idea how a 3K watt generator can't handle a 1500 watt space heater, but this generac cannot unfortunately. Pretty disappointing to say the least. I run non-ethinol fuel and make sure the oil level is good, so I'm just not sure if the governor is set too low so it can't reach a true 3000 watts or what the issue is? Back to the drawing board I guess. Would I recommend this generator now? Probably not. At first, absolutely.

Great looking , quiet and affordable generator!

Researched inverter generators on YouTube for hours to find the perfect unit to power my camper at unserved sites. Narrowed my choice down to the Honda EU 3000is or the Generac iQ 3500, but it was the Generac’s cost that made it the easy decision! For being equally (or possibly even more) quiet, 20lbs lighter and having nicer features such as a keyless starting switch, automatic choke, and a display screen for monitoring voltage output and run time to gauge oil changes it knocked it out of the park!! Generac…please make a nice fitted storage cover for this generator! It is a beautiful unit and deserves one! Only one complaint is that the generator started surging right out of the box brand new. I carefully added the included engine oil to the correct level and poured in clean, fresh gas but it needed a carburetor cleaning probably from having residual gas sitting in the carburetor or float bowl during product testing before packaging and sitting in a warehouse for 2 years until I purchased it. Service was covered under warranty, it was just the inconvenience of having to take a brand new unit in and the frustration of fiddling with it myself for 4 hours previous to the service. (I removed and cleaned the carburetor personally, the service centre only removed the float bowl as people are lazy now). ***Be mechanically inclined if you buy this generator. Good service doesnt’ exist anymore. No one will help you. 😑***
