Just one thing missing

Absolutely love these hradphones. They sound great for what they are and they are so comfortable, one can wear them all day and almost forget that they're there. As many have said, these are never going to sound as good as over the ear cans or your hi-fi system. They do well enough for phone calls but will not supplant more specialized equipment like the Shokz open conference with the book mic. The one thing missing that I've seen on other ear pieces is a locator. Lamentably, I lost one side at an airport in a foreign country but I like them so much that I invested in a new pair. Because of their size, I have misplaced them around the house though, too. So the ability to ping the individual pieces, notify the user when disconnected, or geo-tag the last known location would be nice. Other options for the button configuration might also be helpful.

Gotta love ‘em!!!!!

Second set of Shokz, first set being the original. Loved them the most out of ALL my ear buds. Then saw the Shokz OpenFit and had to have them! Same great sound but without the band-behind-the-head. I can lay in bed, lean back in a chair and not have my Shokz moved off my head. Comfortable, great sound/audio and a good financial decision.

Get these!

I could wear these all day long! They are hands down, the most comfortable earphones, I’ve ever worn. The bass is significantly improved from other Shokz that I have owned. They sound much better than I would have expected for phones that don’t actually enter the ear canal. Excellent purchase!

Life Changing!

Being as any 'In the Ear' type of earbuds refuse to stay in my ear, my beautiful girlfriend bought these for me...all I can say is "Life Changing". The SHOKZ are perfect, great fit, super clarity and no blockage of ambient sound. They are so comfortable that I honestly forget that I'm wearing them! I love them so much, I ended up buying a pair for my girlfriend to replace her 'In The Ear' earbuds. She too has fallen in love with the SHOKZ...win, win!

Really wanted to love them...

I was excited to get the Openfit and really wanted to love them. Plus: Openfit are very comfortable and easy to wear. Charging case is compact. Phone app makes it easy to select sound options (voice, music, etc). Minus: Headphone controls are slow to respond and somewhat clunky. More wind noice than with my Openrun headphones. No battery level notifications. Maybe firmware updates can solve some issues.

Impressive performance and finally OpenFit Freedom!!!

I received my Shokz OpenFit the other day. I have to admit I was very impressed with even the storage box. Shokz has done a good job of making in slim enough and smooth enough to fit comfortable in a pocket, and the magnetic rest for each bud is a nice feature also. Just putting them on for the first time was so nice as they slip easily over the ear, and you don't have to try to wiggle them into the ear canal, or change the size of a silicone piece to fit. They are super lightweight and almost don't feel like anything is even on your ears. I had to touch them one time to remind myself I still had them on. Paring was super easy to my iPad and even my iPhone. The sound is amazing for something that only sits on the outside of the ear, and allowing you to still hear your surroundings. How did Shokz do that!?! Trust me, you'll be amazed as well. When you download the Shokz app you'll be able to adjust and equalizer for more customizable applications, and you can also reconfigure the touch features to your liking. Charging is simple, and they hold a heafty 7 hours of batter life on a single charge. I haven't verified that yet, but they lasted well for many hours on my first use before putting back into the case. With a fully charged case you can get up to 28 hours of listening time, and if you do run out of juice. Just a quick 5 minutes in the charging case will give you an hour of use! That's amazing! They're water resistant to handle any workouts without full immersion in water. So they can handle all the sweat. Also, they securely hold onto your ears if doing plyometrics or aerobic exercises. I'll be testing the calling features today to see how they work, and I'm confident they will perform well. I used them just yesterday while mowing on a riding mower with a decibel level of maybe 100db or more. The music was still hearable, but I had to have them pretty maxed out on volume level. That being said, I was very impressed as I've had earbuds not perform this well while mowing! This selection from Shokz will totally impress you!

I really wanted to love them!

I really wanted to love the Open Fit, but the execution is a little off. I bought the limited gift box set, but had to send it back. With the exception of bass, the sound was very good. I did notice in some songs even at a medium volume (70 out of 150max) that the bass notes we distorted. This is on rock music from A Perfect Circle or Alice in Chains, so it wasn't bass heavy. I could live with that, but my main issue was with connectivity. My Open Run Pro's let me connect to my phone and my table or my phone and laptop at the same time. It's not perfect, but it usually works well. With the Open Fit, I had to disconnect from my tablet so I could connect to my phone for a call. I think if Shokz irons out these small issues that they'll have a winner.

Speaker aim too high (fit)

Ordered day one. Didn't work for me. Sits ~⅛" above the top of my ear canal no matter how flexed and have to be played full volume to even be heard a little (with subsequent complaint from iPhone about reaching weekly auditory limit in 2 hours) since they're firing into the flat of my ear. Spent hours trying to get them to stay aligned. (Flex steel shaper is TOO well engineered). Good technology. Good sound (if I put my fingers in my ear and hold them down). Comfortable. Just dysfunctional fit. Own several Shokz products and love them. These were a miss for me. They promptly refunded with good service. Will hope for improvements or adjustability in Gen 2.

Great sound quality

Just for my purposes aren't what I needed, I like the OG shokz because I can put ear plugs in when I'm in a loud environment and still listen to my audio books. I don't have the option with these, so they are pretty much just for the gym. I'm not a huge fan of the tap controls, I prefer buttons. The controls also don't work with a beanie on so thats a huge let down.

Four stars for no multipoint pairing

I just received my OpenFit earphones. The e performance is excellent and the fit is amazing. I almost forget they’re there. They lose a star though because unlike the bone conduction headphones (even older ones like Trex and Aeropex), they lack multipoint pairing. Their tech types might say that that is because the use the second connection to remain connected to each other (that’s Bose’s excuse too). But even if we discount proprietary firmware in Apple/Beats earbuds, even Jabra enables multipoint pairing in their buds (I have the 75t). So there isn’t any hardware or firmware reason not to have MPP. Please push a firmware update to enable this feature.
