OpenFit

I'm a road cycles for 5 to 6hours on the road, I'm comfortable using it, the only I don't like is only 2 options for tap button. Hope will upgrade foe 3 options for 1. Play/Pause/Call answer 2. Next/Previous 3. Vol increase/decrease Not to swapping to other options.

OpenFit review

The OpenFit is just as great as Shokz's other products. But the down fall, for me, on the OpenFit is they don't fit adult small ears very well, the way they have to sit. And, I am not fond of the tapping to pause what you are listening too (I perfer the button option).

Shokz OpenFit

I wanted to love these. Especially since I can't wear the in ear buds without having issues. I could not get these to fit properly on my ears. Every time I try to make adjustments while on the phone, I hang up on the person I'm talking to. I also don't like the either or concept with the buds. I need to be able to answer/hang up, adjust volume, fwd/rew, etc... on the one, bud. Because I usually am not wearing both. You can only make adjustments with both buds. Lastly, I lost one of the buds, so I'm left feeling like a one arm (bud) bandit. Bummer.

Want to love them

Very comfortable. Good battery life. Their strength is also their weakness. The max volume can be fairly easily overwhelmed by ambient noises. Some podcasts are inherently too quiet to hear if there is competing sound. I still prefer them to in ear buds.

Open fit

These headphones are very comfortable and have a high quality sound. They are good for exercise except cycling. The inherent wind noise forces a higher volume, and therefore defeats the open fit benefit. I went back to using my bone conduction headphones for cycling. I also also find that pressing the body of the headphone for pairing or mode changes is not consistent. And I was disappointed that there is no volume control like the bone conduction headphones.

Please bring “Volume Control” feature with next version!

Perhaps the biggest drawback is they have no independent volume control feature— you control the volume on your connected devise (watch, phone). As a distance runner, my phone is often on my back in my hydration pack, so this has turned out to be a MAJOR drawback for me.

My favorite

I’ve used PowerBeats for a long time and came across these when looking for bone conduction earbuds (which don’t really exist). To keep it short, I LOVE these headphones! They sit in your ear and don’t cause discomfort when wearing for more than an hour. I can have clean, crisp phone conversations and still hear the room around me. Even when asking my clients they say they hear little to no background noise from my office. I’ll wear them to the gym on lift days but I do still wear the Powerbeats for running or cardio or washing my car. Battery lasts a good amount of time and the case is comparable to beats or Samsung. Only two things I like better on beats is it works with Siri and the charger is the same as my phone. The touch controls could be better on these but they still function. FANTASTIC earbuds! I wear them 3-6 hours daily and have for two months now.

Great, but fiddly controls

Great product, improvement over previous generation. No wire aroudn the head is great, as is the charging box. Same great sound and ability to stay connected to the outside. Would get a 5-star, but the tap controls are fiddly -- I frequently have to pull out my phone to get music to stop or start for example. More minor criticism: A volume control on the headset would be nice.

Checks off all the boxes

The Shokz OpenFit are all that I wanted in headphones. Along with providing great audio quality, they are comfortable, stay out of the ear canal, and they only need the room around each ear. My husband and 9 year old twins each have their own pairs of OpenFit now too. They seem to work for big ears and small ears 😀

Love these shokz! Light weight.

Love these shokz! Light weight. Very comfortable and secure. Battery life is superior to other options. Sound is excellent. I like how they fit and look. Excellent value for the cost. Best part, I can still hear my environment if I need to while using these!
