I probably should've gotten OpenRun

I ordered these when my OpenComm boom mic died. Since they were being touted as the 'next big thing', and they were much more expensive, they had to be better than the other models, right? And I admit, I didn't do my due diligence on the detailed specs: I was very surprised to find that they're IP54 instead of IP67 like the OpenRun, a feature that's VERY important to me. If I went running with these, they'd be dead in a month or two from sweat intrusion. The sound quality is much better than the OpenRun or OpenComm. They are very comfortable -- I sometimes forget I'm even wearing them. The UI is notably different (and, in my opinion, worse) than the OpenRun (etc). A majority of my finger presses are not recognized. The gestures are different from the OpenRun/OpenComm for some unknown reason. Setting aside my misreading of the specs, the most infuriating thing so far is that one side will fail much sooner than the other. If one is dead, they might as well both turn off. I thought I'd give the 'new thing' a try. I honestly wish I'd stuck with the tried and true. This is my 7th pair of Shokz. If they'd been my first, they'd have been my last.

Love the fit. I love

Love the fit. I love the way I don't feel disconnected from the outside world because I can still hear what is happening around me. I feel safer which is HUGE. I gave it a 4 only because it does not connect well with my Iphone and Siri. I have to sometimes go back to bluetooth and my Openfit and pair them again before answering a call. However, I am not returning it, because the safety issue of knowing what is happening in the surrounding area is worth the discomfort of this issue. If Openfit can address the issue, I would give it a 5+!

Great sound.. No ear pain .

I really like these. Shipping was fast and rhe sound is everything I was hoping for. I can listen to my audio books or whatever on KY phone and still pay attention if I am needed in my work environment office work. Plus my ears don't take the stress they use to. ZERO PAIN IN THE EAR. I even wear them to bed. My only issue is I wish there was someway they fit a little tighter around the lobe of ear. Maybe make a sleeve to help with a more secure fit for different size ears.

Earphones are truly amazing, Shipping was not.

I have actually had the thought "I'm sad to leave work because i have to take my headphones off." I've had medical issues with my inner ears since childhood. I've never been able to wear ear buds. I've dealt with cheep over ear headphones for years and Bluetooth speakers at work for years (i work alone during overnights) but i watched a youtuber recommend these specifically for people who can't use in ear earbuds. and figured I'd try them. and i am super happy. i can hear the outside world when i want. but can also turn them up enough to disappear into my work. I would recommend these to anyone who dislikes in-ear buds. or anyone really Only issue, I ordered these on a Thursday. and they took 11 days to make it to my house. I really could care less about shipping times if I'm informed. but they were advertised 3-5 business days until i got them. and it was more than double the max advertised duration.

Sound, 10; Design, 6

I've been in love with Aftershokz since you launched those first bone-conduction headphones, which were such a game-changer. I wear my latest pair of the classic style nearly all-day, every day as I go about my life. So I genuinely *wanted* and expected to love these. In many ways I *do* -- but there are some significant design issues that prevent me from giving this a 5-star review and make them just "decent" vs. "all I hoped for. " My chief complaint is the touch/tap function to pair, pause, and answer calls. Perhaps I dislike it so much because I'm so used to that wonderful little push button on my classic Aftershokz. With these, it often takes me multiple attempts to hit *precisely* the right spot on the device that will activate the pause/answer function. It's an unnecessary pain in the butt, and it seems like an overcomplicated step backwards. I'm also not enjoying the open-ear system nearly as much as I do the bone conduction. I wish it were possible to combine bone-conduction with the individual, over-ear construction -- which is one of the best features of these headphones--but I understand why that doesn't work from a science/technology standpoint . Still, not having to tuck that rigid connector under my headwrap is *such* an improvement to my quality of life! These are SO lightweight and comfortable that I forget I'm wearing them. Likewise, they stay secure on my ears, even when I'm wearing my glasses -- which was a concern I had when I was deciding to purchase or not. Despite the design & functionaluty issues, the sound quality is AMAZING as usual and is definitely up to the high quality and standards I've come to expect from the brand. So, overall, I *like* my OpenFit headphones, but I think some design tweaks are necessary to improve their functionality.

Not what I was expecting

First things first--these are not like other Shokz. They are not bone conduction headphones, but rather have more traditional drivers that sit over the ear opening, but do not go in it. I suppose I should have realized that before I bought them. The case and overall build of the headphones is nice. But the control buttons only answer calls and change tracks. They don't allow for volume control. That has to be done from the source device. Also, pressing on the buttons means pressing the headphone onto your ear, which I found uncomfortable. I returned these and got another pair of OpenRun headphones.

They’re just okay.

The look and style are fine and the sound is okay. I do like the Shokz that’s sound conducive (wire around the neck) t I don’t like the wire. I still can’t connect both my IPad and IPhone at the same time. They are much harder to to connect than my other ones. I’ll keep them but don’t really like them.

Don’t even know they’re in my ear

These are awesome except that you can’t change the volume on them except by changing the volume on your device. That’s my only complaint. They are so easy to wear and sometimes I forget I have them on which might be a bad thing. I’m so scared of losing them. Sound is awesome and they connect easily when you find out how!

Not there yet

The best part of Openfit is the fit, they are super confortable, after a few minutes on, I forgot I had the on. The sound on the other hand, I wish it was better and louder. I don’t think they’re much louder than the Open Run. Also they are not as waterproof as the Open Run, doesn’t sync to multiple devices at the same time and doesn’t come with wireless charging like other brands. So I think I’m going to stick to the Open Run until maybe the Openfit 2.
