Perfect for Gardening Beginner

I was very excited to receive this item. Easily filled with 2 large bags of soil. It’s perfect for a beginner planter like me with a watering monitor and spout. The bench beneath is perfect for gardening tools and I don’t have to hurt my back with any bending since it is raised! I will likely have to get another for more veggies, as it’s not that large for multiple plants that need adequate spacing.

Beautiful raised garden bed

The Keter Deco Elevated garden bed is beautiful and sturdy. The material is a hard poly material that seems like it will endure the tough Florida sun and rainstorms well. The two toned color and variegated wood look is a beautiful addition to our outdoor space. I’m using the garden bed as a flower bed vs. vegetables but the size would definitely be perfect for an easy and contained way to grow vegetables or herbs. The only downside is the box stated easy assembly in 5 minutes but this took more like 45 minutes and I had to also use a power drill/screwdriver (though you could probably assemble with just a screwdriver). I’m really not sure how someone could assemble in 5 minutes but overall it seems extremely sturdy and well worth the assembly time!

Simple and Attractive Raised Garden

The garden bed advertised a 5 minute assembly. While it took about 20 minutes altogether, it was an easy assembly overall. There were just a lot of screws. The planter seems very sturdy, and it looks nice. I’m looking forward to using it this coming season for my peppers. The built in drainage is also a nice feature, along with a mechanism to show water level so you aren’t over-watering.

Nice raised planter

This is a nice raised planter, solidly constructed and relatively easy to assemble. It’s a good height and has plenty of capacity. The pictures show a light wood finish but the panels can be assembled with either side showing. I made mine with the darker side showing, just my preference. The instructions are a bit vague and don’t show this option.

To be determined

Took about an hour to assemble for one person. Using a small drill makes it much easier to assemble. Finished product is very light so it’s easy to move until dirt is added The screws are maybe a quarter of an inch long and they go directly into the plastic so I’m skeptical as to how this product will hold up outdoors. Especially if it’s left out over a Midwest winter

Exactly What I Have Been Looking For!

Not only does the Keter 29 Gal. Resin Elevated Garden Bed look amazing, but when I opened the box, the instructions and assembly were extremely simple. Everything was packaged very well but there was a scare, I thought they forgot to pack the legs! I lifted the bottom of the garden bed and low and behold, the legs appeared. As you can see, the whole kit is made of plastic. The sides of the bed are hollow with plastic rib divisions. Even though the side walls are not solid, their board seems sturdy. The whole garden bed fits into slots and legs attaching to the bottom of the bed are labeled clearly. The instructions clearly outline where the screws will attach and the holes for the screws make it that much easier. The instructions do suggest using a Philips screwdriver or an electric drill. I had used an electric impact drill but will caution to carefully and slowly attached the screws otherwise the metal screw will strip the plastic. This elevated garden bed feels extremely sturdy and was surprised at the 242 lbs. the top of the bed can carry. The bottom shelf is only rated at 22 lbs. but do not anticipate placing anything heavy in this area. What I am pleased to see is the water basin gauge, making it easier to see if the plants require water. The floating plastic leaf will raise and lower indicating the water requirements. I’m not positive how much water will percolate to the water basin, but the instructions do state to periodically drain the excess water. The water release plug does pull in and out of the unit to release the water. The rubber gasket is molded to the plug and non-replaceable. This is the only downside I see and would have rather seen a screw on shutoff valve instead. As a recommendation, I will be placing a weed barrier cloth down before placing dirt into the garden bed. This will ensure dirt does not make its way down through the holes and clog up the water basin. I am extremely excited to start using the Keter Elevated Garden Bed but as you can see in the pictures, we still have snow on the ground and the last frost occurs somewhere around mid-May.

Nice Look. Cheap Plastic.

I hate to say I was a little disappointed in the quality of this garden bed. I really like the design, and the engineering of the watering tray within, but the plastic is very cheap. The expectation was perhaps a lower grade "recycled milk carton" plastic, but instead it is more of a kid's playhouse or toy plastic. That being said, the look (from a distance) is very nice. It's also quite sturdy despite the plastic grade. The shipping was phenomenal. Whoever designed the packing state it came in should receive a raise. The bed itself is built to hold all of it's pieces during shipping, eliminating any packing material. Another aspect that lowered the rating to average was the assembly. The box claims 5-minute assembly, which was a hard laugh. It's certainly easy enough, but 5-minutes is a pipe dream. One recommendation when assembling is to build the trough within the stand, rather than build it freestanding, then pop it into the stand as the instructions advise. There are no pre drilled holes, so if you come up short, the trough will not fit in the stand. My advice, let the stand guide your assembly. I'm excited to see how the bed will work once herbs are planted within. The watering bed claims to sustain water, and by the look of it, I believe it.

Attractive and solid

I bought this planter to supplement my vegetable garden while it’s being solarized. It’s attractive, sturdy and a good value for the price and I really like that it has a drainage hole and moisture indicator. The bottom shelf is a nice feature too. My only issue is that the box says it’s a 5 minute assembly but it’s easily an hour - there are approximately 15 parts and about two dozen screws (you definitely want an electric screwdriver!).

Helpful Planter

With Spring on deck, I was so excited to get this planter! My 11 year old daughter and I put this planter together. Upon looking at the outer box, I thought we would assemble this within 30 mins. The box said no tools and 5 mins assembly. Sadly it took over an hour to assemble this planter. I will encourage customers to ensure you assemble the product with a tight fit so that the top part of the planter fits perfectly on the legs part of the planter. If one of the panels is not screwed in properly, it will not fit in properly when it’s time to place the trough on the legs. Believe me I had to unscrew and push one of the pieces in tighter so everything would fit. Overall the process to set up was a bit challenging, however I am pleased with the final product. Great height/width and I love the space available on the bottom to put lighter plant pots. Planter appears durable and solid. Planning to plant some fresh herbs in next week! Happy Planting 🪴

The awesome stand up vegetable garden

The elevated garden bed was easy to assemble and has been a great addition to our patio. We've planted peppers this year and the raised bed has been fun to work with. It looks great and makes the "gardening" part rather easy as you can stand and plant as opposed to bending over and digging. Overall, we are very pleased, so pleased that we went back and bought a second.
