I am extremely upset that when I logged in to my account, the only option provided was the online version. I didn't find out until AFTER completing the tax return and seeing a ridiculous price since I did not need assistance. After purchasing the downloaded version, I had to re-enter the entire tax return. This leaves a VERY BAD impression on me. This is a very SLEAZY business practice. After being a customer for 20 years or so, you may have lost me forever with this crap.

Normally I have good luck with TT, but this year they had a bug in the e-filing of the state return (CA). It would give an error code and say my version is out of date, but there were no updates when I checked. I tried customer service but they had me try everything I already tried. It finally worked on the 27th when more forms came available.

Some aspects were unclear and did not have "Explain This", which caused a call into the Customer Service Center. Also, when I reached them, I had to be redirected to someone that dealt with TT Business. It even required that person to go back and dig into the question more deeply. All in all, it was okay but took time and caused delays on both sides..

Federal Return was fine. Treatment of the California AB150 PTE tax option was confusing and not a straight walk through like the rest of the program. Having all of the various estimates together would have been helpful as well as a one page summary of tax situation and to-do list.

You really have to know something about fiduciary income tax already in order to use TurboTax to correctly prepare Form 1041. I'm a tax attorney so I knew when the result wasn't correct and when I had to go back and check/uncheck a box or jump through some other hoop in order to get the right result. In a few cases, I had to override the TT result because it didn't take my situation into account. Still, it's nice to have the calculations done automatically and to e-file.

DO NOT BUY if you're looking for fully functional software that fulfills its marketing promises. TurboTax Business will help you input information to complete the tax filing - mostly. There are a few forms that the program required that print out, complete, then scan and upload. For ALL of those forms, the program fails to print. Not only does it fail to print, but it crashes and asks the user to send in a report of what they were doing when the crash occurred. This is hugely problematic. (1) The "help" section for TurboTax Business at Intuit.com has a number of reports of this exact problem, with no solution. Those reports go back for years, with no indication that anyone at Intuit knows about the issue or cares. (2) Why would the TurboTax program NOT know what I was doing when it failed. Why is it my responsibility to complete a bug report (which seems to go nowhere, since the bug has been around for years, betraying countless users buyers and users of the software). Where do I send the bill for supporting their tech support? There are other companies that can help you file your business tax return. Look elsewhere if you want to pay premium price for software that doesn't completely work.

I had to use TurboTax Business to obtain a Form 1041. I found this program not as user friendly as Form 1040. I don't file a state tax return, but TurboTax informed me I had to. so from that page, I stopped doing what Turbo Tax required for state. The first time I processed the return I was rejected by the IRS. I spent most of today talking to two TurboTax employees and one IRS employee. The Name, Code and EIN check balance somehow did not match so the form was rejected. I have sent a second e-filing to see if all was corrected.

Meh. OK, but definitely gaps in the in-program support like Data Source, "About Line ..." and such. Anything more than simple may cause you to spend hours trying to do searches online for answers, but you typically won't find any answers on Turbo Tax Community applicable to TT Business.

After I submitted a question, they keep telling me to call them - even after I told them I don't talk on the phone because I don't hear well - so I do not communicate via phone - I use other methods like email or text, or whatever else - but they keep demanding I call them after I emailed a question about audit insurance that isn't showing in my account after purchasing it...
