After looking at several mattresses, I bought the firm pro-adapt mattress. It is very firm but I have read that as you use it, it will get softer. I like it but it is very different compared to the other mattresses I have owned. I am still getting used to it. It is very pricey but hope to fall in love with it as I sleep on it.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Love this mattress. If you prefer a firm mattress, I would highly suggest choosing this over all other TEMPUR-PEDIC options. The other options likely will not be firm enough. This mattress feels closest to the original TEMPUR-PEDIC mattresses. Very firm but you can feel the memory foam on the top layer. These mattresses do however trap heat which is the only drawback.

Does not relieve pressure points or give you a good sleep experience. I started complaining to Living Spaces where we bought it after a couple of months and was told it takes awhile to adapt and give it 3 months, then 6 months then sorry you'll have to take it up with Temperpedic Warranty Department. They told me how sorry to hear of my bad experience and to take a bunch of pictures and send in but if mattress didn't have 3/4 inch depression they would not replace it. Wear is uneven not that severe of depression but uneven wear all over mattress which leads me to believe support is not good. When we bought mattress I was lead to believe body heat made foam conform to body and then spring back. This is after less than 2 years and me being 165 pounds and my husband 195 pounds! We went and bought a Temperpedic pillow topper hoping that might help and it just shows big depression on both sides where we sleep. We took it off to get pictures of mattress and found the foam on the topper is cracked in several spots. No wonder we're not getting good support. I wonder if the inside of mattress shows the same deterioration! I wake up after a couple of hours with hip hurting and my shoulder had become extremely painful. I went to Orthopedic doctor and X-ray shows tendinitis in rotator cuff likely causing pain. Not doing any sports, lifting or consistent motion to cause this. My back pain is worse also. I wouldn't call that a real great nights sleep!!! .

I'll be honest, the first week on this bed had me nervous that I didn't make the right purchase. It felt much more firm than the models in the store. I was finding my self tossing and turning and waking up stiff. However, after doing some reading online, I discovered that the mattress needed time break-in and for the Tempur cells to breath. For the first couple of weeks when I was changing the bedding, I let the bed sit "naked" for a few hours, and would even unzip the Tempur cover. I found this made a big difference in the feel and softness of the mattress. Within a few weeks, I was sleeping great. I have had the bed just about two months now and absolutely LOVE it! It's not too firm and not too soft - just right. And supportive too. I have been sleeping great and no longer have the back pain I was experiencing on my old mattress. Would highly recommend!

Originally we had gotten a new basic spring mattress. When we were still having trouble getting a restful sleep we went back and traded it in for the Tempurpedic Pro Adapt soft. This was the best decision we could have made. This is truly the best sleep my husband and I have ever had. We sink in and fall right asleep. We will never go back to a spring mattress again.

Love this mattress! Every aspect of this purchase went extremely well. Our sells person was very knowledgeable and a great help. Delivery was on time and setup went fast. Best of all we are getting a great nights sleep. I'm no longer awaken by my spouse getting up during the night. This is our first tempurpedic and we will never go back to the innerspring mattress.

So far so good. The foam mattress conforms to your body as you move in bed and you don't feel your partner moving around during sleep. It takes a little time to get used to going from a "regular" mattress to a memory foam mattress, so I only gave it 4 stars because we haven't had enough time to fully evaluate it and if the mattress maintains its shape over time. We have only used it for about 2 weeks.

I have a herniated disc in my back and my old mattress of 22 years left me feeling like it was hit by a Mack truck when I woke up in the mornings, if I slept at all. I bought and adjustable bed base also and it was the best decision I made in years. From day one my back stopped hurting when I slept and I could feel the pressure being relieved from my spine. Sometimes when I get home from work I lay down for and hour just so my back will fill better, I never did this before I bought this mattress. I can sleep all night without pain for the first time in years. LOVE this Mattress

Bought first tempur-pedic king, firm mattress in 2011. It lasted a good many years. Bought second Tempur-Pedic king adapt, medium in 2021. From the get go I knew the medium was not for me. Bought our newest King Tempur-ProAdapt Firm an have slept on it for one month and a few days. From the Flagship store experience to the "white glove" delivery and set up has been a wise choice. It has taken me a couple of weeks to get used to the "Firm", but I am a firm mattress sleeper.
