The firmness of the ProAdapt is taking some getting used to, but it is getting much better. My husband is sleeping better than he has in years. He has back issues and has not been able to stay in bed all night, but that has changed with this Tempur-Pedic mattress. Highly recommend it!

Then by the 5th night, I realized I hadn't woken up with back pain in 5 nights. We're a month in and I'm very happy! Takes time to adapt but it's fantastic- also when I sleep on my side, my hips don't burn! It's not too hot either which I worried it'd be.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I honestly can't say enough good things about our ProAdapt Firm mattress. My husband and I waited ten years to purchase a good mattress (we were so confused by the number of choices and the prices). We went to a local furniture/appliance store in Greenville, SC and the sales person was so knowledgeable that we knew instantly what would work. Although it is firm, there are times when we are deep in sleep and don't want to leave the bed at our alarm. There are mornings when I have the feeling that I've been in the most amazing cocoon, and the best part is my back doesn't hurt in the morning either (unlike our old mattress). Thank you Temperpedic for making this mattress. Even our parents visiting during Thanksgiving asked us what in the world they were sleeping on the next morning--they'd never had such comfortable sleep. I bragged about this bed to them and hope they'll get one too.

Just purchased our second Tempur-Pedic mattress. Yep wore out the first. This is definitely newer technology and the hybrid sleeps so much better. Offers more support for my husband who is a larger person. Thoroughly pleased with the service we have received.

I have had the new mattress, pillows and sheets now for about 30 days. So far I like it a lot, almost love but too soon to give it that. Humans spend a lot of time in bed and I have went with the cheap mattresses for over 50 years and almost got a sleep number bed, but after talking to people that have them, I realized that Tempur will be the better investment. I recommend to buy new sheets and pillows with a new mattress. AND get the mattress protector if you have pets that get on the bed (allowed or not) and kids, night #5 my dog tested it and boy was I feeling like a smart man. you will be the first to know if this bed doesn't hold up to the name. I have been using a Tempur-Pedic mattress since the year 2000, and have recommended it to many friends. I still love it, but moved from New York to California, so thought it was a good time for a new one. The new Tempur-Pedic mattresses all looked different--much thicker, and with a textured top instead of my old smooth one. But now with my new Tempur-ProAdapt Firm, my back stills says "Thank you!" when I lie down. When I invite friends to try it, they also say "Thank you!"

I did not expect my new mattress to dramatically change my sleep. My old one had become saggy in the middle. I frequently woke up feeling uncomfortable, with a crooked neck or achy legs. I was shocked after my first night on my firm mattress. I didn't wake up in the night feeling uncomfortable. I didn't have to constantly readjust my position. I slept so much better I noticed I was having long, detailed dreams. That hadn't happened in a long time.

We have had the ProAdapt Soft mattress for almost 1 month (January-February) and we are still getting used to it. Initially the mattress was hard as a rock. We put an electric blanket on top and increased the thermostat to 72 degrees to help "break it in" and it took 3.5 weeks but it is now "somewhat soft". It appears to get much warmer throughout the night when compared to the memory foam we previously had.

This is the most comfortable I have been lying down in years. The cushioning top is just enough for me with the mattress being firm and supportive and the pillows are a match made in Heaven. I would highly recommend this product for you lovers of firm surfaces for sleeping. Saggy mattresses hurt me badly, this one will not.
