I just bought my third Tempur-Pedic mattress. My 2003 mattress is still a running strong. My 2009 mattress is still running strong. I am giving that one away. The one that I bought this time is the Pro Adapt Firm, for the pressure relieving properties. I have never woke up with pains or aches. The mattresses just get better and better every night. If you are looking for a world class mattress, you found it. Pass the rest and buy a Tempur-Pedic. Those that think that they need a firm, think again. The Tempur-Pedics should be purchased according to feel. Just buy one, knowing that they are life changing mattresses. Also forget that they are a flat mattress. What matters most is how you wake up feeling. I write very reviews. I am writing this one for those that want a mattress that will out perform an of the other mattresses on the market. I needed the ProAdapt for pressure point relief and I got that. Pressure point relief being important because my back often hurts. This is slowly lessening over time. It is different then regular mattresses so there is an adjustment period. I would recommend highly!

The worse mattress I've ever owned. Did all the research. Read all the information. Thought I had found the perfect mattress and was willing to pay a premium for it. Reality is, I feel like I'm sleeping on concrete. Haven't had a good nights sleep since we purchased. The 90 night guarantee, read the fine print! So disappointed.

The mattress adapts to your every move, so your spine is properly aligned (with adjustable base); I now have a good night sleep and wake up ache free. The smell of the foam was not strong or offensive to my sensitive olfactory bulbs. The material over the foam is soft as silk, (good), but slippery, my fitted cotton sheets slip off during sleep. A mattress cover was recommended but not purchase, perhaps it will solve the slippery issue ???

I've had some awesome night sleeps in this bed no more pins and needles feeling when sleeping on my side anymore. Also even just as comfortable sleeping on my back and the best part I keep cool throughout the night no more waking up in sweaty sheets. Thanks Tempur-pedic!

Our mattress was approximately 15 years old. We always had a topper over the pillow top but as in previous comments, the back knows. Couldn't handle it anymore and since we had slept on a relative with no problem decided on a tempurpedic. We decided on the pro-adapt medium hybrid. Once the sales lady turned on the remotes we were hooked. Now every night we fall asleep vibrating and it is so sweet! Love the cooling pillows and ordered the 2 for 1 sheets not too happy with those. They wrinkle!

In 2 years I've gone through 4 beds. Tempurpedic is my 5th and last. It was a daunting journey after having a bed for 23yrs and it was time for a new one. The problem was trying to adapt to all the new memory foam beds after being on a traditional bed. All I can say is stick with it for at least 2 months. Your body will eventually adapt. With my first foam bed 2 years ago it took me 6 months to adapt. Then I traded it in for a different foam bed due to a defect and that bed caused a major hip injury to flare up. Now 2 beds later I have the Temperpedic and I wish it was my first foam bed. Have to say Temperpedic's foam is completely different than any other I have slept on in the last 2 years. It took me about 4 weeks to adapt and I just stuck with it and now I can't wait to crawl into bed! It's a feeling I can't describe it's just different and my hip is finally happy. My husband also loves it!! I wont go back to any other bed!

As a result, my sleep quality has been greatly reduced for as long as I can remember. Since owning this mattress, my pain has been noticeably reduced. I am nowhere near as stiff as I used to be in the mornings. I fall asleep faster and stay cooler through the night as well. Excellent purchase. Would recommend. Would purchase again.

This mattress was so soft in the store, instant love. My hubby likes a slightly firm mattress, and I prefer sleeping in clouds. The salesperson told us to jump on the bed (we don't have the electric base) so that it'd add wear to it. The first 2 weeks I slept okay but the bed was firm. It adapted to my body, but honestly I wasn't comfortable and thought I'd just made a HUGE financial mistake buying it. Fast forward 6 weeks and my standpoint has changed, A LOT! The mattress still seems a little firmer when we first lay down, but it adapts to your body and is so comfy. I've been getting some of the best sleep I've ever gotten. Hubby is a side/back sleeper and I'm a side/stomach sleeper. Side note: both hubby and I were getting weekly, sometimes bi-weekly adjustments at the chiropractor. In the 8 weeks of owning the bed, we've each only been adjusted once. Our chiropractor said that the bed is really helping us by providing the support we need in our necks/backs.

While sometimes my partner has found it too warm, I have not. The bed is pricey, but I think worth it.
