- 5 out of 5 stars review5/2/2026Just put the Firestone Firehawk AS V2s on my 2022 Maxima SR and I couldn't be happier. ive had them on for a few hundred miles and I'm coming off the stock Goodyear Eagle F1 Asymmetrics, these are noticeably quieter and ride softer, firm but not as soft as a typical touring tire and they handle really well. Where they really shine is in the rain. Wet traction is fantastic, and they inspire a lot of confidence in those conditions. If you're on the fence between a high-performance tire and a touring tire, this is the sweet spot. More planted and responsive than a typical touring tire, but without the harshness of a dedicated performance tire like the F1s. Highly recommend.
great tire
Steven - 5 out of 5 stars reviewVerified Purchase12/15/2024Had 4 tires installed at the Sam's Club in Reynoldsburg, OH on November 30. Tires are great so far. Definitely have better wet traction than my previous tires. Installation process went very smoothly. Had all 4 tires mounted, balanced and installed in less than 1 hour. Very pleased with the service!
Firestone Firehawk AS V2 All-season Tires
Roger Lutz - 5 out of 5 stars review6/14/2023I had to wait several months before the Firehawk AS V2 for my 2003 Mercury Marauder became available in the manufacturers recommended sizes, 235/50/R18 & 245/55/R18. Just had them installed & went for a nice spirted drive on both curvy & flat roads. I'm impressed so far as these tires handle great in the curves and have very good traction on dead stop launches. I'm anxious to see how they will handle in both wet & snow conditions. I've used Firestone tires for over 50 years & they never have disappointed me, great products, thanks. Regards, Mike C.
Firestone Firehawk AS V2
MikeOriginally posted onfirestone.com - 5 out of 5 stars review6/21/2023I wanted to put a few thousand miles on these tires in order to give an informed review. I researched tires for several months and kept coming back to these due to their hydroplaning resistance ratings and the science behind the tread design made sense. I commute to work about 400 miles per week in the Tampa Bay area where daily heavy downpours are pretty common. I could not be more impressed with the wet traction. Dry traction is excellent as well, noticed an immediate improvement in handling over my previous Firestone All-Seasons, which were a good tire. I have seen some reviews that complained about them being noisy, but I have not found that to be the case at all. If they make a size to fit your vehicle, buy them.
Wet Traction
ALOriginally posted onfirestone.com - 5 out of 5 stars review9/16/2023Noticed how quiet the tires were as soon as I left the store. Wet traction has been excellent. No snow to test them so far although the deep aggressive tread looks like it will be effective. Handling has been great on curvy roads. A bit more body roll than expected on a V-rated tire. Learning to trust the tires.
New tires on a high mileage car
EricOriginally posted onfirestone.com - 5 out of 5 stars review7/26/2024I had extremely bald tires. I saw a rebate for a set of four tires from Firestone and decided it was a win-win. I had all four tires installed, and they are excellent. I feel like I'm driving a brand new car; the tires have a nice bounce and I cannot hear significant noise. I am thrilled with them. I also know that because this type of car has two different size tires, the shelf life is cut in half, since they cannot be rotated. However, with the 50,000 mile warranty and coverage that comes with the credit card, I am not concerned.
What a Difference
ElenaOriginally posted onfirestone.com - 5 out of 5 stars review1/19/2023This is going to be a long review and for good reason. These tires have only been out for a few months so there is hardly any reviews out there, so I'm going to be thorough to help fellow RWD car owners that have been in my boat. I own a Mustang GT that I daily drive year round. Some think that's crazy, but even in Omaha there is only snow on the streets for 7-12 days a winter, so why would I not drive the car I love year round? I used to have a separate set of winter and summer tires, but that is expensive so I researched for a better solution. The claims Firestone make on these new V2 tires seemed to good to be true, but I like Firestone so I took a chance. We just got hit with a snow/ice mix and there is packed snow and ice on the street...
As good as my dedicated winter tires!
BrettOriginally posted onfirestone.com - 5 out of 5 stars review4/14/2024We replaced the original tires that came on our 2018 Buick Regal with the Firestone Firehawk AS V2 tires, set of four. To date, the ride in our car is much smoother and quieter. And it does appear that there is good traction in the rain and snow. Plus, the rebate helped.
MODEL FIREHAWK AS V2
StevenOriginally posted onfirestone.com - 5 out of 5 stars review12/10/2022Overall, I'm extremely satisfied with these tires. I've been loyal to Firestone/Firehawk for years on my Dodge Challenger, and the traction on these is superior! My attempt to "get loose" starting out in standing water was met with disappointment as the tire grip was strong to the pavement! Midwest winter driving will put these tires to the test, but am once again happy with my choice!
Great Tire!
JulieOriginally posted onfirestone.com - 5 out of 5 stars review12/18/2023Great design and well made They are a little softer than most which helps on the bumps.mileage is the same no change and I would definitely know if there was I watch the gas and mileage between gas fills.very quite ride just make sure you have a quality shop install them and check the valve stems for leaks tires are great just make sure your installer is just as great that is wear the problem starts with a bad balance or install otherwise the tires are excellent and do what the are supposed be boasting Firestone makes a great tire ....not a 721 of the past if you recall in the 80s the tires are made very precisely and are great products bravo with all the competition that is going on bravo
Tire overall aspect
ErosOriginally posted onfirestone.com - 5 out of 5 stars review5/25/2023This is my first purchase of the Firestone FirehawkAS/V2. I love the way the tires grip the road in the curve of the road. I researched several performance tires for my Stinger GT-Line. These were the best as cost and performance . I don't know how they will do in wet conditions, but I think they will do well. I am pleased with the performance .
Great tires !!!
LyduaOriginally posted onfirestone.com - 5 out of 5 stars review10/31/2023I just got these tires a few days ago and I can already tell the massive improvement the new firehawk as v2 have with handling and cornering. I had a pair of the indy500 ones on it when I got it and they were a little old. But I swear these news shows gave the car more life. I love how it handles now.
New firehawk
JoelOriginally posted onfirestone.com - 4 out of 5 stars review1/15/2024I recently purchased my Wrx last April and its been a wonderful car. I live in Wi though and was looking for a good set of performance winter tires and theres not a ton of options for my factory tire size. Decided to go with these since it was the only name brand tire I could find that could be mounted and balanced for under $1k. These tires are actually pretty impressive, recent snowstorm made these tires shine. Get up and go, no problem, stopping about what you would expect. Ice they do not handle well, but not many tires will without studs. If you're looking for a performance tire that can handle winter, these are it.
Needed A set of all seasons for winter, glad I got these.
CurtisOriginally posted onfirestone.com - 4 out of 5 stars review8/20/2023I have had Michelin Energy Saver and Bridgestone Quiettrack tires since car was new. These Firestone's were less expensive and the ride thus far has been above what I had expected. In the AZ heat for the past 1,000 or so miles, they handle my country road commute great. I hope the construction of the tires hold up better than the previous "low rolling resistance" tires I've had. I've had 5 tires punctured beyond repair in 7 years. Looking forward to 50,000 more miles.
Very nice ride
SteveOriginally posted onfirestone.com - 3 out of 5 stars reviewVerified Purchase6/22/2025I don’t expect a whole lot as they are only 50k rated tire. Time will tell. I got these because they were the cheapest more performance rated tire with a mileage warranty.
Jury still out
Markle - 3 out of 5 stars review10/5/2023This is the second set of tires that I have purchased. The first set wore down at 30,000. There was no tread on all 4 tires evenly. Had to purchase another set through before warranty was up at a cost of 50% off per tire. The second set of tires are now wearing down just as quick at only 12,000 miles and the tread is at 5mm. At this rate they will be worn down long before warranty. Tires are not quiet at all, very noisy.
Quick Wearing Tires
Terrance GuhdeOriginally posted onfirestone.comfirestoneuspwrHello Terrance, thank you for sharing this with us. We are very sorry to hear that your are not completely satisfied with you... - 3 out of 5 stars review5/9/20243rd set of firehawks, 2 previous sets did not last long. Both sets start showing excessive wear at 10,000 & 20,000 miles eventhough tires rotated at 5,000 miles & alignment checked good. Giving Firestone last chance to see if tires do not wear excessive. If they do will not buy Firestone Firehawks again or any other brand

ThomasOriginally posted onfirestone.comfirestoneuspwrThank you for taking the time to share this with us, Thomas. We are very sorry to hear that you are not completely satisfied ... - 3 out of 5 stars review9/4/2023Though I began on Sunday, August 30, 10 o'clock in the morning, I did not complete my search for tires until until Friday. However received the tires at store Saturday morning out Saturday afternoon. Do I have to drive a few more miles to get to that that station? I get decent treatment even good parentheses. Now let's talk about the tire brand . fire stone is hard to be they have been for years and years. I have a Mercedes Benz and and I love the brand. Good day doll Don . Oh, How do I answer the question of how the tire performs when this is my first time using these type of tires. And of course your computer won't let me out until I complete it. Period... that's why the straight down the middle rating!
In the door/out the door
Don QuarellsOriginally posted onfirestone.com - 2 out of 5 stars review6/5/2024These tires were advertised to last 50,000 miles but they wear out really quick. On my first 5000 mile rotation, the technician told me 2 of my tires were down to 7?? I did my alignment then do my rotations regularly. I hardly use the brakes. But that did not help me prolong these easily worn tires...What happens if the tires are done at 30,000? Will firestone compensate me my remainder 40%?
Excessive wear
DeanOriginally posted onfirestone.comfirestoneuspwrHello Dean, thank you for sharing this with us. We are very sorry to hear that our Firehawk tires did not meet your expectati... - 1 out of 5 stars review9/15/2023I've had these on my fwd ford fusion and they blow hard chunks. I was barely able to get going last winter and I have all four leaking air after one year not the installers fault. Sure they handle good on dry pavement, but any sort of moisture forget it.
These are junk so far
