[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is the comfiest mattress I have ever slept on. The pillowtop is as soft as a cloud and cushions and cradles you when you lay on it. I sank right in, but the rest of the mattress is thick and firm enough that I still get the suport I need for my back. I knew I was going to like this mattress, I didn't know it was going to change my sleep as much as it did; snuggles the insomnia away.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This mattress proved to be excellent for my back. I was skeptical for the ultra firmness but it proved that this is what I wanted. I do not use a spring box and I have it on the floor (sleep with my 2yr son). It helped my back pain disappear and it is highly recommended if you are sleeping on your back. Granted, I'm not able to sleep on my stomach any more but I do not care. It is a thick mattress that adds several inches clearance from the ground. Sitting on the edge doesn't create an issue i.e. it doesn't sank in. It may take a couple of days to adjust to it but I will never go back.

I carefully researched S&F and tried many different models. In the store I really loved the Lux Estate medium. The mattress I recieved had a sink hole in the middle. I quickly notified the store and they took prompt action to replace the faulty mattress. The new one I recieved also sinks much more than the store model that I fell in love with. It is better than the first one I recieved. However, I'm not up to another round of musical mattress, particularly since the second mattress is "signed" by the same person who signed the first sink hole mattress. I guess I am the chosen one that this person learns on. I'm very sure that I will be needing to replace this bed in a few short years, but when I do you can bet everything you own that it will NOT be a Sterns and Foster! Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me.

Reviewed different mattresses at different online sites....kept going back to this mattress. We purchased the King Mattress and Foundation mid October. The FIRST night sleeping on this lovely mattress we did not toss and turn and actually slept in the next morning. Since then we have had great nights of sleeping. Beautiful craftsmanship and the comfort is out of this world.

The lux estate soft pillowtop sleeps incredibly hot. I'm not a naturally hot sleeper but on this mattress I have felt like I sleep in a sauna. Also, as a strict side sleeper, I need a plush feel. This mattress is more of a medium feel; not soft/plush.

Definitely firm, I was concerned it would be too firm But it hasnt been. It's cooler Than my old pillow top but I'm sure that has something to Do with the inter workings of the bed. We got the queen-size Stearns & Foster Lux Estate Soft Pillowtop mattress and we couldn't be happier. We were previously sleeping on a queen size sleeper sofa mattress, and if anyone knows anything about those mattresses, they are very thin and you can feel the bars from the sofa bed frame all night. My partner of 20 years is disabled, and he lays down most of the day, therefore, we just keep the sofa sleeper bed out all day every day and never fold it back into the sofa. When I was offered this free sample, I was more than delighted! We are BOTH sufferers of degenerative arthritis, and he has had multiple work injuries which eventually disabled him. Our previous mattress only made matters worse for both of us. He has insomnia and was up and down all night long with aches and pains. Now I am pleased to say that we are finally getting a good night's sleep! I haven't seen him sleep this good for so long! As for me, I am sleeping way better also, and for longer amounts of time than I previously was. I seriously do not want to get out of this bed! Our aches and pains are getting better by the day, not totally gone of course, but more tolerable. The cooling feature of this mattress is the BOMB as I am going through hot flashes! And we cannot even feel each other get out of bed anymore because of the motion sense feature, so less wakening. I cannot thank both companies enough, and I would HIGHLY recommend a Stearns and Foster mattress for a great night's sleep! We will never go with any other brand from here on out!

I purchased my mattress as I was working for mattresss firm I love the sterns and foster collection! I was having bad back and hip pain and upgraded my mattress to the lux estate I love it I sleep well. My husband loved it as well, the perfect level of softness for me not supper soft and not super firm. Only thing I wish it had the option to feel more on the tempur indulge foam and the mattress can be very heavy when I'm changing the sheets. I love the support of the springs. The weight of the mattress is my only con but as far as comfort and quality I'm super happy! I don't see myself changing this mattress any time soon definitely will stick to the sterns and tempur family for my sleep needs. I plan to add a adjustable base in the future, been thinking about it . Great mattress

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received Sterns & Foster Lux Estate Ultra Firm Tight Top, queen as a promotion. I am a stomach and side sleeper and found this to be extremely difficult sleep on as is. I woke up in pain the first night and unable to fall back asleep. This bed is just too hard for myself to sleep on. My husband however, didn't mind the firmness. My hope is that the bed will "loosen a bit" over time. In the meantime, I now have a mattress topper and am enjoying the bed finally. I do like that the bed is higher now. I am 5'7" and just fit comfortably. Ultra firm is not for everyone and I'm sure a select few would benefit from this stiff mattress.
