I did not expect my new mattress to dramatically change my sleep. My old one had become saggy in the middle. I frequently woke up feeling uncomfortable, with a crooked neck or achy legs. I was shocked after my first night on my firm mattress. I didn't wake up in the night feeling uncomfortable. I didn't have to constantly readjust my position. I slept so much better I noticed I was having long, detailed dreams. That hadn't happened in a long time.

I first chose the medium model of this mattress. After sleeping on it for a few months I discovered it was what was causing me to have a terrible ache back. The retail store would not switch it out as too much time had past. Tempur Pedic worked with me and replaced this model for the firm one. I am so grateful I now have the best mattress for my body. We love it! Very comfortable. Great for my back and good nights sleep. The only complaint is we have a terrible time keep the two twin beds together. It's best you purchase the frame and head bound at the time of purchase. We requested a queen size. The salesman told it was. It was really king size bed. Which takes up too much room.

If you are looking for a firm mattress, the TEMPUR-ProAdapt Firm is fantastic. After a couple of minutes it molds to the shape of your body, holing you in a straight, comfortable position. Our old mattress was causing back pain due to sagging. After only a couple of nights on the TEMPUR-ProAdapt Firm there was a significant improvement with complete relief a few days later.

But given a few weeks it loosened up and has stayed comfortable since. My only complaint is sometimes I do get hot, but I sleep hot normally and it is in the hot summer months now. I should've probably bought the cooling pro adapt mattress but just couldn't move myself to spend the extra grand on that price tag. But I'm happy enough with my mattress so I'm set.

I have degenerative disk disease in my entire spine and deal with constant pain. Back spasms are also an ongoing challenge I deal with. Before purchasing this mattress, I ended up having to sleep on our couch for two months. Now I am able to have quality sleep for the entire night. My back pain has gone from level 8 to level 3-4. It has given me much quality of life improvement.

I just bought my third Tempur-Pedic mattress. My 2003 mattress is still a running strong. My 2009 mattress is still running strong. I am giving that one away. The one that I bought this time is the Pro Adapt Firm, for the pressure relieving properties. I have never woke up with pains or aches. The mattresses just get better and better every night. If you are looking for a world class mattress, you found it. Pass the rest and buy a Tempur-Pedic. Those that think that they need a firm, think again. The Tempur-Pedics should be purchased according to feel. Just buy one, knowing that they are life changing mattresses. Also forget that they are a flat mattress. What matters most is how you wake up feeling. I write very reviews. I am writing this one for those that want a mattress that will out perform an of the other mattresses on the market. I originally purchased a Tempurpedic king medium bed. It was just too soft and was killing my back. I utilized the trade in policy. I explained how the bed was killing me. They recommended a Proadapt firm. My wife loved the medium so we got split beds. She happy with hers, unfortunately the firm is too hard for me. The bed hurts my shoulders and back. It is not a peaceful night sleep as I just can't get comfortable no matter what position I'm in. You're allow to do one trade, so I'm suck. I purchased a sleep number bed and am waiting for delivery. Hopefully it is better night sleep.
