Not only its a the densest in consistency but it keeps just enough softness on the surface to not make the mattress rock solid. There is no sinking or stuck feeling in the mattress at all. My wife hated it but compromised because I was working. When I retired we got the tempurpedic mattress it was for her I thought. It has been great for me!! No back pain, just comfort!!

I really do love this bed, it is very comfortable and supportive. The memory foam mixture is unlike any other I have tried, and the isolation of movement really helps when sleeping next to others that move a lot. I haven't noticed the bed to 'sleep hot' which was a concern on mine when I purchased it. I recently had an accident in which my dog vomited all over the top of the mattress and clean up was very easy since the actual bed cover can be zipped off and washed. I was very happy with how easy this was. The only complaint that I have is that the cover is slippery feeling and that makes it so that the sheets do not stay put. I pretty much have to pull the sheet tight on all sides every day. This can be uncomfortable since the sheet gets wrinkly under my body. It's a shame to be honest considering the price of the bed I had hoped for almost perfect. I am still trying to find the right sheet set to possibly help with this but reading the reviews on the Tempur-pedic sheets does not make me want to spend > $150.00 to try them out. I checked the box for 'yes, I would recommend this product' because I do love the bed, but I am honestly not sure that I would.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Once a salesman said you will pay an enormous amount for a automobile that you will set in for a couple of hours a day but will cut cost and purchase an uncomfortable mattress that you will sleep on for 8-10 hours a day and wake with back issues. My first Tempur Pedic lasted 12 years. I chose to purchase a "In the box mattress" only to return and purchase the Pro-Adapt which we love dearly. Last time I settle for a lesser product. Now I wake each day fully refreshed.

After house sitting for my son and sleeping on his tempurpedic, just after day 4 my back felt so much better after years of hurting. I don't know how they do it, but somehow there's the perfect back support, but also it's super soft for my very arthritic shoulders and NO pain as a side sleeper. I'm 70 yrs old and I wish I could save people money by telling them to skip all the others and go with this one, wish someone had done that for me. Buy it, you won't be sorry and it's true when it comes to mattresses, you do get what you pay for.

My wife & I finally replaced our old, old sleep number mattress with the TEMPUR-ProAdapt Medium Hybrid. The coil-layer sounded like what we were looking to strike a balance between too firm and too soft and it was clearly the right choice. I used to wake up in pain due to misalignment, but not anymore! We've had this king size mattress for about a month now, and it's getting more comfortable as time passes and we break it in. I prefer a plush-type mattress and this is what me and my partner settled on for the both of us. I have sleep issues such as insomnia, tossing and turning, waking up frequently, back problems, etc. I can't say that this mattress has improved any of the issues I have that much. My back does feel a bit better compared to my last mattress. The mattress is comfortable when you are laying down. My partner really likes it, but he doesn't really have any sleep issues. Honestly, I'm not as impressed as I thought I'd be with all the hype that Tempur-Pedic mattresses get. But I do think this is probably a great fit for some people out there. Just not sure if I'm that person since it's only been a month of sleeping on it. All in all, I do think I would recommend this to the right person. It is a nice mattress. But like I said, just not sure if it's for me, yet.
