My husband prefers a firmer mattress than I do, so being able to customize our mattress comfort was a positive thing. He loves his firm mattress as much as I love my medium. We both do a lot less tossing and turning due to the supportiveness of these mattress, so we are getting a better nights rest.

OMG! This is the best bed we've ever owned! Contours to your body & cooling & warm at the same time! We sleep through the night without Rossi g & turning; and no more hip pain, or leg cramps! Snoring gone too! Raise the head & foot a little bit & we're off tho lala land!. On the weekends; we struggle to get out of bed! Never will ever get a regular mattress again! We bought the pillows to!❤️❤️

Overall this is a comfortable mattress, but it doesn't support my back like other firm mattresses. I invested in it as an answer to my back pain and I am terribly disappointed. This is not a true firm mattress. The support/resistance varies on different points of the surface, and it is effected by the room temperature. It gets softer in warmer temperatures and vise versa. A normal firm mattress alleviated my back pain, the Pro-Adapt firm does not. Tempur-Pedic ought to disclose this fact on their website, or avoid from classifying this mattress as "firm".

We absolutely love this bed! Prior to this we had bought a "memory foam" bed on line that was suppose to be amazing (little to no reviews, no one heard of it) and what ended up happening is, it was not good enough! I would get out of bed and my whole body ached! I thought, "I guess this is what old feels like" (I'm 30 years old). My husband stands on his feet all day and would complain of back pain, again we assumed it was being over weight and getting old (he's 33). To our surprise the bed was firmer than the show model and took some getting used to, maybe 5 nights. I immediately noticed a difference when I woke up and stood up from the bed, no pain, and no aches! I feel completely young again! My husband hasn't had back pain since! He has more energy now and we could not be happier! We would recommend this type of bed for everyone! There is a reason why they are the best and we now know, we cant put a price a good sleep! This is my second Tempurpedic mattress. The first was the old DeluxeBed model, a medium firm mattress that was about a 6.0 on the firmness scale. It took a while to soften up and the unused side was still as hard as a rock after 12 years but it was great for alleviating lower back pain. My arthritis in the hip has worsened with time and age so I selected the Pro Adapt Medium Hybrid with a 4.5 rating as a replacement mattress for more pressure relief. I was told it is their most popular model, especially among women, and the three year old floor model was not overly soft. My new mattress took no time to break in but after three weeks of use, it seems a little mushy. I weigh about 200 pounds and am a side sleeper. I will try it for a couple more months but am concerned that the Medium Hybrid might be too soft for me.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is, firstly, a very comfortable mattress. You don't have that get in, sink really deep into it thing that you do with some fully foam mattresses. The give is, instead, just enough to be really, really comfortable. And it's great for cuddling: your arm doesn't fall asleep. In contrast, I find that I'm definitely getting better sleep on this mattress, and, I don't wake up sore anymore. It's pretty fantastic. I've also found that, compared to my previous spring mattress, I don't feel as much when my partner moves or shifts in the night. I dare say this mattress is even more comfortable than a hammock, and that's saying something. One concern I had with a foam mattress was how warm it would be. Well, my fears turned out to be unjustified: even in an apartment with no air conditioning, in an unusually hot August, I had no trouble with overheating, and I definitely sleep on the warm side. I think this is due to the fact you don't end up sinking into, and being encapsulated in, the mattress. The only downsides I found with this mattress were minor. First, when it arrived, it definitely had a pretty strong plastic smell to it. Fortunately this dissipated after a few days. The other thing I discovered is that, if you don't have sheets that are big enough for the mattress depth, they really don't work! With my old mattress, slightly smaller sheets still gripped the side of the mattress fine. This one, though, has so much give in it that I kept waking up completely wrapped in the bottom sheet! This was rectified by purchasing some sheets that actually fit the 12 inch deep mattress--- but it's a good thing to know beforehand.

Our innerspring mattress was 10 years old and we had been waking up with aches, pains and not feeling rested. Mind you, we are in our early 30's. We tried out all the tempur-pedic pro adapt models in store and settled on the king size medium hybrid. The adjustment period was literally a matter of days for us. The medium hybrid provides the perfect amount of support without being too firm for us and I think the transition from innerspring to memory foam was really easy because it's a hybrid. We look forward to going to bed every night and wake up feeling refreshed with no aches and pains. It has really helped improve our alignment as well. Wish we would have bought this sooner. We also bought the ergo base and love spending time in bed reading in zero gravity. Can't recommend this mattress enough! Pricey but well worth it. We have had our mattress almost 4 months.

I've been sleeping on a very hard bed for 30 years because of a bad back. The new ProAdapt Firm mattress has been great on my back, sleeping is sound and my back feels great every morning. I thought the mattress would be much harder living in the North East in winter, but it settles in nice a quick and I'm off to sleep before I know it..

We purchased from Kathy at the Uptown location. She was one of the best sales persons I have ever dealt with. So kind and non-pressuring. She gave us plenty of time to explore all the mattresses and had answers to all our questions. We chose the king pro adapt medium hybrid and the smart adjustable base. I fell in love with it in the showroom, and I will say it took me about 2-3 weeks to adjust, but there was a night and morning where my husband woke and asked me, "Did you wake last night?" That was when we both realized we had been sleeping through the night for the past few days. WOW! What a different that makes in your everyday life. This mattress is absolutely amazing. So comfortable but supportive in just the right areas. I suffer from low back problems and can have restless legs from time to time. The zero G with slightly lower head works so well for my back and legs. So worth the price tag!!!

The Tempur-Pedic brand comes with so many reviews and experiences that I was unsure as to the value and as to which version I should purchase. After months of trying out the Pro- adapt line, I settled on the soft. Night one felt a bit too firm. I read about walking on the mattress to break it in. I did that. Night two was great, and I can tell it will only get better. The bed is not too hot. It's not too hard to move on. It's supportive and very comfortable. I'm glad I got a Tempur-Pedic. And I'm glad I got the soft. The only complaint I have is that the mattress is not heavy enough to keep my top sheet from pulling out at the base; but I'll figure that out. Save yourself some time. Buy the soft Pro - adapt.
