[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Before trying these, I wanted to know if they actually worked and their ease of use. I was given the opportunity to try them for free through Bzzagent. I used these in a load of laundry that had some pretty stinky pieces of clothing from my husband exercising. I simply added them to the wash bin. Based on the packaging, the purpose and use of the beads wasn't exactly clear. These were added in addition to laundry detergent. I wasn't sure if the Downy beads would neutralize pre-existing odors during the wash cycle or if they were just intended to help prevent new odors from sticking to clothes. I was unable to test the latter because the clothes had to be washed again due to remaining odor. This is possibly due to a new detergent that was used, however, it was clear that the Downy beads did not eliminate odor. It would have been interesting to test the Downy beads' ability to prevent new odors from forming on clothes but, I'm doubtful that they would stand up to heavy sweat and resulting body odor.

These really boost the cleaning and clean scent even to stinky workout clothes, even for my boyfriend's clothes that he regularly gets dirty via fishing, working out, working on his car, working on outdoor projects, etc. I recommend these to boost your laundry, especially stinky laundry.! I got to try a free sample but this opinion is my own. It cleans kids clothes to a higher degree also, no matter what they get into!

At first I was hesitant on using these since I was terrified they would stick in on my clothes. But they did not!!! Tossed them in before all my close while the water was running in the washer and the beads dissolved Slowly but nun the less dissolved. This is the perfect ad in to make your clothes or sheets smell extra nice and for a long time. Used these on my sheets and went buy to buy more to use on all my clothes. I'm a long time user of downy products so I was excited to try these. I've tried other laundry scent beads but none claim to have odor defense like this Downy product. I have some jeans that sometimes give off a metallic smell. I don't know if it's from the jeans themselves, being washed with my husbands work clothes, or what but using the Downy Fresh protect neutralized that odor and left the load of laundry smelling fresh, I highly recommend if you, like me, love to use those smelly beads and love the downy smell. I have to disclose I was given this product for my review but the review is my honest opinion.

I was pleasantly surprised at how long lasting the fresh smell is and especially great for workout gear! Very simple to use and will definitely be using again for all at risk smell clothing. I tested Downy Fresh Protect Beads for free, but all opinions are your own.

I loved this product. I used it last night and I am already hooked, It is so simple to use you literally just dump it in like you would your soap and your clothes come out smelling better than ever! I have never used a scent booster before but now I dont think I could live without one,

I really enjoyed this product. Upon opening the pack, it smelled wonderful. I wa surprised by how little product is needed to get the job done. Unlike most other products, it left my clothing smelling wonderful. No greasy residue was left on my clothing. Will purchase again. I did sample this product for free. However, this is my own opinion of the product.

Really loved the outcome of this product. I was a little skeptical at first, but after throwing them in with my massive loads of laundry when I got back from the beach, I was pleasantly surprised. Not only did they make all of my clothes, bathing suits, and towels smell great, but the sent still lasts! The only thing I was disappointed in was the packaging, it was more complicated than expected. I was given this product for free in my Influenster box, but all opinions are my own and I would never promote anything that I wasn't happy with.

This product has become a must have in our laundry room. The lasting scent on your clothes makes you feel as though everything is fresh from the dryer. My husband played a double header last night and as he walked past all you could smell is a freshly laundered uniform. I tested Downy Fresh Protect Beads for free but will definitely be buying this product.

I like the smell of this product a lot! The febreeze and downy scent is quite lovely. I do however feel like the scent only clings on to certain fabrics. It works on softer materials but not denim or tougher fabrics. This was scent to me as a free sample by influenster. I have however purchased this.
