Smells good and made my clothes fresh. All the product dissolved in the wash and there was no residue left. I really liked the way it made my clothes soft and did not bother my allergies. The fresh protect odor-shield made my clothes smell amazing! In fact, it made my whole house smell good as my clothes were washing. It was super easy to use too, just throw the beads in with your wash! I used this product with my wash when I did a bedsheets and bath towel load as I wasn't sure how fragrant it would be and I'm not the type to like to have a heavy scent. I was surprised that it was the perfect level of scent for me. Just enough to smell fresh but not overloading and heavy. It was easy to use by just pouring the contents in the wash. they are pellets so no liquid to clean up afterwards. I tested this Downy Fresh Protect Beads for free, but all opinions are my own.

The scent is amazing and stays in the clothes even throughout wear. I tend to wear my clothes a couple of times before washing them and they stay fresh until the next wash. I took this to the ultimate test, my favorite Indian restaurant, and I still smelled fresh when I left. That has NEVER happened before! I am a zookeeper, so as you can imagine, my clothes usually smell pretty bad. I used these in-wash beads on a load of my work uniforms, and they smelled great! Even after the clothes are washed you can sometimes smell that they are clean but have a hint of old grease or dirty bleach water. It left a lingering perfumed scent when I washed my gym clothes and towels. I guess it really DOES boost the scent. But if you get migraines from perfumes, you might want to use with caution. Easy yo use just drop the beads in the beginning if your wash cycle. The beads are blue but no worries they totally disolve and does not leave any residue. I absolutely love this product! My laundry had a wonderful fragrence even days after it had been folded and put away. It seemed to refresh as I wore my clothes. I was really impressed at how long the fragrence lasted on our bath towels. I had previously had issues with our bath towels losing their freshness very quickly. Well not anymore.
