[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I really like this product! I used it on my smelliest, sweaty workout clothes and it worked great! It really freshened them without being overpowering in fragrance. Just a nice, clean, fresh smell. We all know that after a while those workout clothes and the kids smelly socks just don't smell so fresh even right after they're laundered, but this product really takes care of that problem by freshening them with a light, clean fragrance.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I didn't notice any difference when I used the Downy Beads. I have used unstoppables before and have noticed a difference with those. However with these I didn't notice a different scent or that my close smelled better longer. Maybe it just wasn't enough to notice a difference. I use scent free detergent so I figured I would notice a scent but I did not.

A little of this product goes a long way. Leave cloths fresh and smells like it just came out of the washer/dryer. I hang dry my cloths and I love the smell of them when I wear them. I tested your Downy Fresh Protect Beads for free, but all opinions are my own. Note if you or a love one is sensitive to perfume or fragrances either use a handful or non at all depending on sensitivity.

Even after the clothes are washed you can sometimes smell that they are clean but have a hint of old grease or dirty bleach water. He asked me the other day if I changed our laundry detergent and I asked why was he itchy because the cheap stuff leaves him itchy due to skin sensitivity. He also plays outside sports every Tuesday night and Sunday morning which also leave him smelly. He said he could not believe how clean everything smelled and also that it did not irritate his skin like sooo many other products have. Now I can have everyone;s laundry smell good and not just my own! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I think the Downy® Fresh Protect Active Fresh In-Wash Odor Shield is a good product and I think it worked. My issue is that the beads are not good for front facing machines. The holes on the drum for the water to come in and out let the beads slip through. Because of this I am not sure how much product was used versus wasted/lost in the machine. I did put the beads in between the clothes, I put in half the load in, the beads, then the rest of the clothes. After the wash there was no residue on the clothes or in the machine that I could tell. There was no noticeable scent lingering in the clothes beside that generic "laundry detergent" smell. The reason I think it worked is because I wore an outfit from that load the next day and got really sweaty running around and my clothes stayed smelling fresh. Thumbs up for that.

My whole family loves this product. I love the smell of clean laundry and this product gives our laundry such a great smell and it lasts for so long! My husband loves it as well. We are potty training our daughter so I out this in her laundry and helps her clothes come out smelling good!
