[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I really wanted the downy fresh and protect beads to be great...and maybe they are, but since I got just one sample, I chose to use it on the worst load of laundry in my house...my husband's work clothes. It didn't make much of a difference. But, maybe if I had used this on something like towels or my daughter's clothes, I may have seen a better result. To be fair...nothing has really been able to make my husband's work clothes smell fresh. But I will say, it was easy to use and did smell nice in the package. Just toss the breads into the wash with your detergent and that's it. I might just give it another try to see the result on different loads.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Adding the downy fresh and protect beads to my wash changed the feel of my clothes and added a fresh clean scent. First off the downy beads made my clothing and towels more soft then they have ever been. I have always used a dryer sheet in steads of liquid softer because of the price difference. Which I love feel of the load of laundry I did with these downy beads but these beads are even more pricey then both so I probably won't buy them unless I have a coupon. Secondly, the beads smell just as good in the package before use as they do after the wash and dryer, it makes your entire load of laundry smell clean and fresh for about 9 days is what I have found with my clothes and towels. Last thing I would want everyone to know is if you have very sensitive skin then don't use these beads, my son and I both have sensitive skin and we both ended up having a bad red bump reaction from the scent because we normally only use clear and free laundry items.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Let me preface by saying that I don't generally use a fabric softener product in the wash, just dryer sheets. The product was easy enough to add to the washer, and smelled great out of the package. By the time the rinse cycle was done, I barely smelled it on the clothing. After they were dried (both by dryer and on the clothes rack), I didn't notice the Downy scent at all, nor did the clothing and towels seem any different than how I normally wash.

I put these in the washer before adding the clothes and they smell AMAZING. They smell so clean, I almost don't want to get them dirty again. Let me start by saying I have a unhealthy addiction to fabric softeners especially Downy. I love the way it smells and enjoy smelling it when I put on my clothes. I got a sample to try out and immensely enjoyed it, I even caught my husband smelling his shirt. It left my clothes feeling soft as always. I tested the Downy Fresh Protect Beads for free, but all opinions are my own.

I have some stubborn smelling t-shirts that I never thought would smell great again...but after using this product, they smell brand new! These are in addition to your regular detergent and softener. Although these beads smell fantastic, I don't really feel they're a laundry necessity if you're already using a Downy softener. I keep mine in a drawer, in a baggie with pinholes - it acts as a sachet and keeps my clothes fresh smelling. *I received this product for free, but all opinions are my own.

These are amazing. The fragrance is phenomenal. People have asked what that smell is during my workouts! I sweat a lot, so I'm happy to find a product combats my stinky gym smell and actually eliminates the odor, not cover it up. I tested Downy Fresh Protect for free, but all opinions are my own.

I used this product with my workout clothes and my kids' clothes. It helped freshen up even my stinkiest clothes. If you are senesitive to scents, this may overwhelm you. It did leave my clothes smelling wonderful and very soft. I received this product free; however all opinions are my own.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Included in my free bzzkit from bzzagent was a sample packet of "Downy Fresh Protect Beads." I waited to use these beads for my least favorite smell...urine soaked bedding after my toddler wet his bed. I threw these beads into the load to try out how well these work on tough smells and they did the job! I loved how the bedding came out smelling fresh and clean and with out a hint of urine! On the down side, I thought that for one load of laundry the amount of beads required was quite a lot making me think that a regular size package wouldn't last very long if it was used for every load of laundry. Also I HATED how the beads looked exactly like little blue candies, in my opinion this is dangerous. But based on scent these beads were fantastic!
