I really liked the smell of this product. It left my clothes smelling and feeling wonderful. This product is super easy to use and a great value! My family has been using Downy product for years, so when I was given a sample of In-Wash Odor shield, I was more than willing to try it. The packet was filled pretty well and based on the directions, I was to use the entire packet with a load of laundry. I was impressed that even though the load was pretty large (included shirts/socks/sweats, towels, and bed sheets/pillowcases - things that can carry a bit of a smell after using for a while, the fragrance permeated through everything! I was a little bothered by how strong it was, so I will suggest using less that what the directions might advise. The scent was not my absolute favorite, but given that I got it for free, I couldn't complain. Overall, it's a good buy. Do I think it's absolutely necessary? No. But when you have a job that requires a lot of moving around and often comes with messes, sometimes giving the laundry a little extra boost isn't always a bad idea. I received a sample of these complementary and tried them for the first time today. I washed my bed sheets and pillowcases, and tossed these in - absolutely love it! My sheets smell and feel so fresh! I'm going to sleep so well tonight! I will definitely pick these up at the store next time I am out!

I recevied this product for free to test out and honestly i am hooked. The smell is more then 24hours and makes your clothes feel clean trough out the day.This product gives you an amazing scent that last for days. All you have to do is shake the beads in your washer and your done. How easier can it get to have your clothes smell amazing. I recieve trucks everyday at work and it made them smell amazing all trough out the day. They say ot is detrrgant for your clothes and that i believe. I would highly recommend.#Fresh

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Downy Fresh and Protect beads were not my favorite. They were a nice scent booster but I didn't really like the smell while my clothes were wet and as I was putting them in the dryer. I did not like the smell when I took them out and I was very disappointed, I also asked my daughter and she said didnt like it either. After I did put them in the dryer the smell kind of went away. I will probably not buy these in the future and would not recommend them.

I love this product and its so easy to use just spray on your clothes before going out or after leaving a night club to keep your clothes smelling fresh. This product helped my clothes from smelling of cigarettes until they were washed. I was able to test this product for free. I would highly recommend this product to my family and friends.

These beads smell nice, and are strong. I was worried the pink would stain my clothes, but they dissolved and caused no issues. I think they're a good idea if you need them, but I have very few items of clothing that actually need to be washed in such fragrance. When clothes were dried, the scent was pleasant and not overpowering. I gave 3 stars simply because I try to avoid extra chemicals and synthetic fragrances in products as much as I can. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I really like this product! I used it on my smelliest, sweaty workout clothes and it worked great! It really freshened them without being overpowering in fragrance. Just a nice, clean, fresh smell. We all know that after a while those workout clothes and the kids smelly socks just don't smell so fresh even right after they're laundered, but this product really takes care of that problem by freshening them with a light, clean fragrance.

I have very sensitive skin when it comes to choosing detergent and fabric softener and can develop hives when using any new type of laundry product. I have used this product several times now and have not had any bad reactions! I find that this product helps to make my clothes smell fresh and clean without being too strong of a fragrance or smelling too much like a chemical. Hopefully they comes out with more scents because it would be fun to see mix it up every few loads.
