I love these beads! I used them for my athletic wear and that was a good idea and a perfect use! They don't smell sweaty, and even better, I smell good while I am working out. I got asked what I use to wash my laundry today. I also used it to wash my towels, they smell so clean right after a shower. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I had seen this product advertised on TV so I was curious to use it when they came in my bzzkit. When I opened the package the smell was amazing! You have to be careful though when using a front loading machine, as I spilled quite a few onto the floor trying to get it onto the clothes!! It dissolves well in the washing machine and when you pull out the clothes it smells great! Not sure if I will make it part of my weekly routine, however it was nice to try.

I have very sensitive skin when it comes to choosing detergent and fabric softener and can develop hives when using any new type of laundry product. I have used this product several times now and have not had any bad reactions! I find that this product helps to make my clothes smell fresh and clean without being too strong of a fragrance or smelling too much like a chemical. Hopefully they comes out with more scents because it would be fun to see mix it up every few loads.

Smells good and made my clothes fresh. All the product dissolved in the wash and there was no residue left. I really liked the way it made my clothes soft and did not bother my allergies. I usually just stick to laundry detergent and fabric softener when I was clothes but this odor shield is pretty good. I was able to get this for free to test from influenster and it turns out to be a great product and it does what it says. I noticed that my clothes are smelling much better so I will definitely get this in the future. This review is my own opinion on this product and hasn't been influenced.

I love the fresh smell my clothes had after using the beads for the first time in the wash. They were so easy to use, just throw in the bottom of the washer. They fully dissolved and I loved the fresh smell of my clothes all day, especially after going on a bike ride. I love the smell, but others could see it as too strong or potent. Personal preference. If you enjoy using fabric softeners and fabric scents, you will definitely love this product! I tested my Downy Fresh Protect Beads for free, but all opinions are my own.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Adding the downy fresh and protect beads to my wash changed the feel of my clothes and added a fresh clean scent. First off the downy beads made my clothing and towels more soft then they have ever been. I have always used a dryer sheet in steads of liquid softer because of the price difference. Which I love feel of the load of laundry I did with these downy beads but these beads are even more pricey then both so I probably won't buy them unless I have a coupon. Secondly, the beads smell just as good in the package before use as they do after the wash and dryer, it makes your entire load of laundry smell clean and fresh for about 9 days is what I have found with my clothes and towels. Last thing I would want everyone to know is if you have very sensitive skin then don't use these beads, my son and I both have sensitive skin and we both ended up having a bad red bump reaction from the scent because we normally only use clear and free laundry items.

Normally, I like the Downy Unstoppables. I've tried different scents - Fresh (my favorite), Spring (a close second), Shimmer. I've also tried and liked the Fresh Protect version with the green cap (I think it's called Fresh Flower or something like that). When my supermarket was out of the size I wanted in this, I decided to try this version of Fresh Protect with the blue cap. It smelled just fine through the lid.
