These beads smell AMAZING! I have used them in my clothing loads and my cloth diaper loads and both of them have come out smelling so good. I'm really picky about my laundry smelling good and most laundry additives don't do the trick, but these did - especially on the cloth diapers! I received Downy April Fresh with Febreeze in a Voxbox. I have to tell you, I am blown away by the results. The hardest test is my boyfriends work clothes, and I can't smell the grime/grease anymore!! Since he's a welder it's an intense smell. I'm sold. The scent is fresh and clean, not flower smelling! I am not a person whom wants my clothes to smell like flowers, I want freshness and this is the perfect match! I have tried many of the crystal brands and other beads but this scent was great, I really liked it mixed with my Tide-Pod with Febreze as well! What a GREAT combo!!! I have two dogs that always seem to smell like a bag of stale corn chips a few days after their baths. You can imagine if they smell, their beds smell too! I got really tired of my house smelling like it had gone to the dogs, so I got the crazy idea to add Downy Fresh Protect In-Wash Odor Shield beads to the wash. I put them in with my dogs' bed and was beyond pleasantly surprised! Every bit of the odors had disappeared! I think I've found the answer to my doggy bed nightmare! Downy Fresh & Protect Beads have become a permanent staple on my shopping list!

While this product did meet my needs and expectations, it is not something I would buy on a regular basis.If I were to buy the product, I feel it would sit on the shelf and collect dust as I do not often have clothes that have bad odors that my detergent cannot release.

I recommend this to all my family and friends. On long hot days my husband comes home after a long day of work with the dirtiest smelliest clothes sometimes.
