[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I'm not sure "odor shield" is the right title for this product...more like "overpower your garments with a raging torrent of fragrance." The recommended amount per load seems to be about 1/3 cup...I was leary of using that much, and I'm glad I was—one single teaspoon is enough to do the trick, and then some. If you've got a particularly stinky load to do, (gym clothes, etc.), this might be helpful. But for day-to-day laundry, it seems like overkill.

This was something I was glad to get to sample free, I have not used Downey before or laundry soap in beads. I enjoyed trying something new! It worked great, the soap smells great and now so does my clothes. I will definitely be buying more of this product!

I LOVE this scent. It's very pleasant and not too perfumey. A little goes a long way and keeps my clothes fresh for longer. I think this will definitely replace my other scent beads. I tested these Downy Fresh Protect Beads for free, but all opinions are my own.

I received this product for free and decided I would give it a try. I decided if I was going to try it out I would do it with my significant others clothes because he sweats a lot especially on these hot summer days and his clothes smell pretty gnarly sometimes. I put these in with his clothes and I loved that it was not liquid and there was no mess. This product left his clothes with a soft fluffy feeling and the best part was that at the end of the day we still got that fresh scent from his clothes, it was awesome and we will be buying the downy beads for sure! This opinion is completely my own.

MY LAUNDRY DEFINATELY SMELLS BETTER. EVERYONE I COME IN CONTACT WITH TELLS ME THAT I SMELL GREAT. THE SMELL LASTS A VERY LONG TIME AND I CAN EVEN SMELL THE SCENT BEYOND CLOSED DOORS. IT COMES RIGHT THROUGH THE CLOSETS AND DRAWERS OF THE DRESSER. SOME FABRIC SOFTENERS MAKE ME ITCH BUT THIS ONE HAS NO NEGATIVE EFFECTS. EVEN MY PETS BLANKETS COME CLEAN AND FRESH AND DON'T SMELL LIKE DOGS BLANKETS AT ALL. THIS IS THE BEST USE ACTUALLY--FOR SMELLY PET STUFF.

I got to try Downy Fresh Protect for free, but all opinions are my own. I loved the smell of this product. It was fantastic to use with my dogs bedding, my husband's underwear, and even just my clothes for a nice fresh pick me up! I would highly recommend. My only issue is that it doesn't replace the detergent so it's another product to purchase and cleaning products are not cheap!

This product is simply HEAVEN!!! I fell in love with Downy's unstoppables the moment I tried them. And to see that they came out with a stronger, fresher, long lasting scent just made me feel ecstatic! These last way longer than the originals and smell much better! The downy scent beads all smell so good. I received this product to test from @influenster and #downy (thank!) but what they don't know is I had already been using them! This works well for our family bc we buy free and clear detergent (kids and allergies) but when I wash towels and the adult clothes I can make them smell amazing without any work at all. I had the April Fresh scent and it smelled wonderful. I usually use the blue one so it was nice to see how the pink one smelled. Highly recommended this product. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I think the new Downy Beads are genius! At first, I thought "how hard could it be to just use the traditional liquid". I was used to using the traditional liquid form, which can get gummy in my front loader, which can ruin the water lines. The new beads prevented this, I could just toss them directly into the machine instead of the dispenser. The beads are easy to use and left my laundry super soft. The fresh smell lasted longer than anything I've used before. I will definitely purchase these again.

Absolutely love the simplicity of this product! Just throw it in with the wash and reap the rewards of wonderfully fresh laundry. The scent lasts and is just the right intensity to be enjoyable but not overpowering! *Received a sample via Influenster, but will be heading out to purchase this product ASAP!
