As a first time user i was surprised at how much i liked the product. It has a wonderful smell to it, great for those summer time clothes. It can be over powering so used to your needs. Defiantly recommend this product if you want an extra sent boost to your clothing, but remember this is not a detergent.

This was first time I have tried a deodorant for clothes. I must say its grate product. At first the fragrance is little strong but at the same time it is refreshing. The fragrance actually lasts whole day. I highly recommend this in-wash odor shield. I have tested Downy Fresh Protect Beads for free from Influenster.com, but all opinions are my own.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It smelled wonderful but I"m not sure how much it worked as an odor shield as I used it with the Gain Original Flings detergent pacs and they are sunshine in a detergent pac. I don't work a job in labor so I don't see how useful an odor shield is for our family.

I love how it smells and makes the room smell heavenly after doing laundry. Having that feeling of fresh laundry is unbeatable and I always feel clean after using these. This product did a great job of freshening up my clothes. After a long hot weekend of performing in a musical, my clothes were in need of freshening up. They came out of the washer and dryer smelling wonderfully fresh. The scent is really nice and laundry fresh, but if you were wearing out, other people might be able to smell it too if you're sitting close (not a bad thing), but it may not mix with some perfumes. I can see this being super useful with sports uniforms and dance outfits!

This product is absolutely amazing!! I received a free sample to try, in exchange for my honest opinion. I could smell the wonderful scent as soon as I opened the box, there was no need to open the package. I used it in a load of towels, just sprinkled it in the bottom of the washer before adding the towels. I chose to try it in the towels because they are pretty old, and were getting a musty smell. I was amazed at how soft my towels came out, and the scent had gone from musty to really pleasant, and the scent lasted until we got around to using our towels! I have tried many other products and home remedies, but nothing compares to Downy! I will definitely be buying this product to use with every wash! Thanks Downy!

Downy Fresh Protect April Fresh in was odor shield beads have been a blessing for my family of four. I have two children, a toddler and a 7 year old. My fiancé is always tinkering in the garage. Despite the normal odors, we have livestock animals. So I was totally surprised that these downy beads handled and got rid of odors even in our muck clothes! If you have ever been on a farm, you know that it is a stinky job! Tossing the downy beads in the wash has handled odors like muck, musty stench from working in the rain. All the way to a bathroom mishap while potty training my toddler! I feel spoiled that my work clothes for the farm smell so good when I put them on. I love opening my closet to be greeted with the April fresh scent! These work great for gym clothes and stinky socks too! Who knew all my clothes needed were a little deoderant! I was trying to figure out what I wanted to try it on and then I figured why not my bedding and omg the smell after I got done washing and drying it along with my Tide PODS was amazing and to my surprise the sent lasted several days...Needless to say I am for sure buying this product I would recommend it to anyone!
