When I want my clothes to stay fresh and clean smelling for a good amount of time—particularly sheets and towels that I store in the linen closet in between uses (at times long periods of time)—I use this in my wash. I don't even use the full recommended amount and they still smell great for a long period of time!

I like the smell of this product a lot! The febreeze and downy scent is quite lovely. I do however feel like the scent only clings on to certain fabrics. It works on softer materials but not denim or tougher fabrics. This was scent to me as a free sample by influenster. I have however purchased this.

Downy Fresh Protect Beads are a great addition to the laundry because they are added to washer and remove odors. This not only makes the product very convenient, but after using them they also work great in leaving your clothes smelling fresh. The scent is not overpowering and does not smell like a strong perfume, it has a general clean scent and reminds me of just clean clothes. So I will be adding this product to my clothes, especially when I need my clothes to maintain a clean smell for a little bit longer. So I was cautious about trying these because I have an asthmatic son. I was pleasantly surprised though. The scent left is so soft and very subtle. He had no issues with it at all and it just smells divine. I love the fact that this also contains odor guard as I have teen boys who no matter how much deodorant they use end up smelly by the end of basketball practice. The scent maybe lasted up to 3 days, I was hoping they would leave the scent longer than detergent would. I would like to give them another try maybe in a stronger scent.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I used the Downy Fresh & Protect Beads when washing the bed sheets and sofa throws. I really enjoyed being able to pour the beads in and not worry about waiting until the rinse cycle. I also love how fluffy and refreshed our sheets and throws felt. There really is nothing like cuddling up with warm freshly washed sheets and drifting off in to a cozy sleep.

This product gives laundry such a nice, clean scent that lasts a long time. I was concerned at first about the scent being too strong or having some sort of reaction since my skin tends to be sensitive to strong laundry detergents, but I had no problem at all. I tested this product for free through Influenster and as soon as my samples were gone, I went out and purchased a full-size container. It's great to use for blankets, towels, sheets, etc.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I tossed my downy beads in the washing machine and loaded it up, I wasn't sure if they are also a fabric softener so I skipped adding my usual downy. My clothes came out smelling nice and fresh and after the dryer they seemed soft so I guess I didn't need to add fabric softener. My clothes smelled great but not sure it protected my stuff from smells all day, I don't think I sweat that much! I only wear my clothes once before washing again but I know many people who wear certain garments a few times so I think this product is def aimed more towards them.
