[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I think the Downy® Fresh Protect Active Fresh In-Wash Odor Shield is a good product and I think it worked. My issue is that the beads are not good for front facing machines. The holes on the drum for the water to come in and out let the beads slip through. Because of this I am not sure how much product was used versus wasted/lost in the machine. I did put the beads in between the clothes, I put in half the load in, the beads, then the rest of the clothes. After the wash there was no residue on the clothes or in the machine that I could tell. There was no noticeable scent lingering in the clothes beside that generic "laundry detergent" smell. The reason I think it worked is because I wore an outfit from that load the next day and got really sweaty running around and my clothes stayed smelling fresh. Thumbs up for that.

This product makes your clothes smell great and it is super easy to use. You just throw a capful in with your clothes in the washing machine and then you continue your laundry just like you normally would! I received this product for free in exchange for my honest opinion.

I was really unsure of what this product could possibly do to improve my laundry, but I must admit I am extremely surprised and any expectation I could imagine has been surpassed. I put the beads into my bedding load to try out first, my blankets have never been so soft and hours after they have come out of the wash, they still smell like they are fresh out of the dryer. I cannot imagine doing my bedding, (or anything else) without these beads now. I am now a firm believer in the bead!

The April Fresh scented Fresh Protect was sent to me as a free sample. I wouldn't typically feel compelled to share my experience, but I LOVED this product and immediately went out to buy more! It added a boat of softness and freshness to my standard loads of clean laundry. It made my towels, bed linens and other items smell so nice! I wish I'd have known about this years ago!

I got to sample this product complimentary from @influenster for testing purposes only. All reviews are purely my own. I do love these Downy Fresh protector beads with odour shield. Easy to use; just put some into your machine's drum and start. Clothes are soft and smells nice. The scent is April fresh and it's quite flowery. I guess the scent deflects any odour that might be lingering on the clothes pre-wash.

I have very sensitive skin when it comes to choosing detergent and fabric softener and can develop hives when using any new type of laundry product. I have used this product several times now and have not had any bad reactions! I find that this product helps to make my clothes smell fresh and clean without being too strong of a fragrance or smelling too much like a chemical. Hopefully they comes out with more scents because it would be fun to see mix it up every few loads.

I loved this! Super simple and easy to use and it left my clothes smelling great. All I did was add it to my laundry right after I put my clothes in, directly on it, not in the detergent compartment with the other stuff. These scent beads are perfect for absolutely anyone! It is so easy to throw into the wash and the result are fresh and clean smelling clothes. The scent is long-lasting compared to many other scent beads that fade away quickly. I did receive this product to test in exchange for a review but my review is based off of my own views.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I think that Downy Fresh & Protect Beads are wonderful. I washed a load of towels and forgot all about them for a couple of days in the washer. Needless to say, they smelled terrible! I tried to rewash them to get rid of the mildew smell, but it was still there after using my regular detergent. I remembered that I had the Downy Beads in my cupboard and added them to my wash. It was amazing! Not only did my towels smell wonderful, but my entire laundry room smelled like a Botanical Mist! I will buy these Downy beads again!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I used to use "unstoppables" so I was used to the bead thing but, the difference with these #DownyFreshProtectActiveFreshIn-WashOdorShield is that they are not just put into the laundry to make the clothes smell fresh they are in there to help keep you smelling fresh all day that you wear your clothes. YES that is right they keep you smelling fresh, My clothes have never smelt better and I smell great from the beginning of the day until the end of the day. These beads are so easy to use and smell amazing themselves but, my favorite thing about this product is the fact that is so innovative to be able to keep my clothes fresh all day. I have two big dogs that get smelly but, love to jump all over you and my clothes still smell amazing at the end of the day. One of my dogs sleeps on the bed with me so I washed my sheets and blankets with this product and my bed smells so amazing a fresh still a week later. I love these beads and will forever by them for my family. My husband is out working all day and comes home and still have a fresh smell to his clothes.. I am shocked at what an amazing product this is and think everyone needs to try it. There is nothing better than the fresh smell of washed laundry ALL DAY LONG!
