When we lose power here it's generally for an extended period of time (several hours). After dealing with a portable generator for years, we finally purchased a Generac 22kw automatic generator. Now there's no wheeling the portable out, filling it with gas, hooking it up and hoping it will crank, most often doing all the above in lousy weather. The very day the installation was completed we lost power for 10 hours. The Generac came on during that time and ran flawlessly. On top of that it was so much quieter than the old portable that it could barely be heard. We love it. I only wish we had made the commitment to purchase years ago. I highly recommend the Generac.

The price and operations of this generator is great (simple to test). I like it because when the wife needs oxygen no matter if the power is down she still is ok to run the oxygen concentrator. Thanks for a good product. I decided to buy one when our Co. bought one to use at our office.

I used to worry every time it rained hard. No more! This is the best investment that I have ever made. It tests itself once a week, so it is always ready. I haven't had it long, but twice the power has gone off, and it came right on. I love it and do not why I didn't buy this years ago.

Adding the Guardian "whole house" system offers great piece of mind that our family and home will be automatically protected during severe weather and any other catastrophe. The generator itself and transfer switch are well made, easy to use and look great too! Hearing the generator start-up every week for it's self-test actually makes me look forward to the next time the power goes out ;)

Mine is a whole house generator connected to the house electric system. It is scheduled to exercise once a week then send me a text and email. It does so without fail. I haven't had to actually use it in a power outage yet, but I am confident it will perform as it should. The recommended installer did a great job.

I did my homework prior to my purchase and the only negative thing i could find is that it was loud when running under a full load. Well, i decided i could sacrifice noise for comfort and let me tell you, I LOVE IT!!!!! This unit runs my entire house without fault!!! I HIGHLY, HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS PRODUCT. When my Father-in-Law saw i had ordered one, he too got on the band wagon and is very pleased with his as well. We both loose power quite often and as far as i am concerned, it has already paid for itself after multiple power outages. Don't loose any sleep over deciding, GO GENERAC OR GO BROKE!!!!!

We moved to NC into an area where there are not that many power outages, but having lived through hurricane Sandy and no power for 6 days, we wanted peace of mind for when and if there are some. About 3 months after moving into our new home with generator, there was construction work being done that caused us to lose power. We were it would be back in a couple of hours, 6 hours later, our Generac was humming along nicely. I have read where some owners have had problems during outages. I asked the local dealer about this and they indicated that many don't do the required initial oil change. We are going on close to a year and the generator does its test run without issue.

As whole house back up Generator there are several Brand Choices. Generac has priced it right the Unit. Truly so far has not seen in action during Power Failure in past several months since installation. Weekly checks are not noticeable. Remote monitoring is surely an advantage with solid warranty and reputation.

Installed in October, full 10 year warranty. Power went out on Christmas morning for just under 2 hours. Worked perfectly, turned everything on including the air conditioner and the hot tub, the wife thought I was nuts but, I wanted to put it through it's paces. Awesome product!

Our power went out and the generac cut on within 3 sec, as the contractor said it would. It did make a loud clunk sound when it cut over, and the generator does make some noise. The clunk sound woke us and the dogs up, and the generator is close to a bedroom, so it did disturb our grandson. The cut-over box (on the outside) is just outside my bedroom, so explains why it woke us and the dogs. Other then that, it works great, and a small price to pay(being woke up) for keeping power on. I love the looks. Contractor was very thorough, and helpful. We needed a new elect panel, so he took care of it. Also needed a larger gas meter and line put in, and he made all the arrangements for us, with our permission. I highly recommend this contractor. We have a neighbor that has a young child, so happy it has locks on it. Our town is known for power outages, so very happy we had it installed.
