We had this generator installed in December and so far we have not had to use it. That's a good thing. In the past we have had to sit in a dark, cold house for up to a week. We're too old for that now. We kept seeing General generators being installed in several new houses being built in our area so we talked to a few of the neighbors, made a call and got one ordered. We go out and check when it runs its test and I hate to say it but I'm ready for a power outage!

We live in an area where powers goes off each time the wind picks up above 5 mph ... well, almost. Six months ago we decided to install a 22KW standby Generac generator with transfer switch with Generac Mobile Link. Apart from a small issue at start due to a defective air filter (which would make the generator choke under certain conditions) which was rapidly identified and solved, we are most happy with our new generator. It kicks in as soon as we loose power, and within 20 second or so our power is restored and very stable whatever was on at the time (ovens, electric range, AC, etc). The mobile link allows us to check the status of our generator even when we are away from home and provides additional security. Finally we also installed a surge protector for the whole house including the generator. This generator is still quite noisy, but it seems somewhat less than some other generators we hear in our area. It is most important to choose the right contractor to install this generator, especially with the transfer switch and with all the rewiring that may be needed. Ours was stellar, and this was an important part in our positive experience. In short, we are very happy with our purchase, and would buy the same again.

That's what I like. The generator is always ready for action. Electricity fails, generator cuts on, never misses a lick. Very happy. I have installed three of these on three different homes and have never regretted it. In fact I have increased the value of each home.

I bought a Generac for my CPA office first. The electric has been out in the past during January- March when there are IRS deadlines. I now do not have to worry about an outage. I work on a client's database at my home away from the server @ the office....It just made sense to purchase a Generac for my home. We installed it behind a crepe myrtle on the side of the house. I am very glad that I purchased Generac.

This was the best money I’ve spent to protect my home ! Colonial Generator was very proffesional with the installation and the workers were very knowledgeable about this product ! So far this has been a good investment. Thankfully we have not had to utilize it. It self tests every Monday and appears to be working fine. At least wedon't have to worry anymore about losing power for days on end. Glad we haven't had to use it yet extremely elated that it is available if a need arrives.

I love everything about this product except one thing.....there is no app or internet based access to my Generator. When we are away sure would be nice to click on my Generac App to keep status of what's going on with my unit.....Seems this would be a given in this day and age of technology. Let's hope that this will be available in the near future and be adaptable to my unit. Also I was unable to upload my pics as you have a 5MB limit...my mobile phone takes HDR pics and are bigger than your limit - that's unfortunate...maybe just restrict the total size instead of the pics themsleves.

Professional interaction with installer, Spectrum electric. They know the Generac product and how to install it inside and out. Only one instance of power outage since installation. Generator performed perfectly for approx 1.5 hours during outage and kept house comfortable including heating units operation. My only complaint is that the unit is noisier than expected and location between houses amplifies the noise during operation.

We live in the country and being isolated wanted to be secure in our all electric home. The Generac back up generator was the size we needed for full home back up, could run on propane and had the load shedding feature we wanted. It is powerful and reasonably economical so that we can be self-sufficient for up to 30 days. Given the uncertainties of today, this is what we wanted. Unit has all the remote inlaces you could want and operation completely automatically. Our Generac dealer did the install and does the routine service. He is expert and responsive. This was a great investment and no doubt has increased the value of our home.

Quick efficient installation, trim design, easy to contact installation contractor. This is a high quality product and we do hope it meets our needs should we loose our electricity, especially where we have a handicapped person who needs medicine refrigerated daily.
