I have wanted this for years. Recently moved to a wooded rural lake home and didn't want to risk losing power. Not there full time and didn't want to lose frozen food if the power should be interrupted. I have also been without power due to ice storms in the winter. No longer an issue. Peace of mind is worth the cost to me.

I would suggest that you provide some reference to Mobil Link. I had a bad experience with the electrician installer. He was unaware of Mobil Link. The installer should be required to provide the end user a list of included and excluded circuits connected to the Generac so there is no confusion regarding expectations.

Bought two and had them istalled by certified electrician. Had a little electronic issue on one unit and and called generac support. Isolated issue and they had warranty man on location and the issue was fixed in two days from the call. All equipment will have problems from time to time. I will use generac for my office shortly as support and warranty follow up were excellent

The generator has not been called on to serve as emergency power yet. It does run once a week to "exercise". The unit is louder than I expected it to be from the DB rating you publish. That said, it is much quieter than my old 5Kw portable generator and I have your 22Kw unit. I am glad I went ahead with this project. One of the reasons I moved forward was the no cost extended warranty.

Fortunately we have not had occasion to use our generator in the very short time we have had it but it is so nice to know that when the occasion happens we will be ready. We have been through hurricanes with no power for a couple of weeks and this would have been wonderful to have. The only time we needed customer service they came through immediately, telling us the easiest way to move the generator was to insert pipes into the holes in the bottom of the frame and have four people carry it. Simple solution to our biggest problem! Maybe they will add that to their instruction manual for future buyers who are not able to get fork lifts onto the site. Thanks Generac for making our life a lot easier and less stressful here in Southeast Texas!

We have not had to use our Generac system yet, but just having the peace of mind knowing it is there is worth it. We have 4 month old twins and live outside of town. If we lose power due to an ice storm it could be days or even weeks before we regain power. Knowing we will have it available as soon as our power goes it is priceless!

I am a little uncertain about the product for now. When they came to start it the motor would run fine but it would not generate any electricity. They now have to call the manufacturer and see what the problem is. They have installed a lot of these and say it is the first to do this. I hope it is something small. I believe once the get it working I will be pleased with it.

We had a generac generator at our last house for 7 years, no problems. We have only tested this unit so far, no power outages yet, but tests were good. Only one problem, the load shed modules do NOT work as advertised. The specs say it can "disable" a circuit while on generator power. It cannot do this. It can disable the circuit in an overload situation only. We needed this feature to disconnect our solar panels while on generator power.

In the past I have only installed water cooled units at our homes but I decided to try the 22KW or this installation. The area required is much smaller but the unit seems to be as noisy as a 3600 RPM water cooled unit. I am not sure what i expected but I was surprised at the level of noise the first real power loss.

The installation went smoothly and the location selected was innocuous. The unit blends right in with the landscaping. It tests itself weekly so one has piece of mind that if it is ever called upon it will be there to power the entire home. This investment should be considered by every homeowner. Especially important if you have a well, sump pump or depend on electricity for heating and refrigeration.
