This is my second generac unit. The new one is much better than the first. The steel case on the first rusted very quickly here in S. Florida. The battery charger on the new unit was a terrific addition but did require some new wiring that the first unit didn't need. So far no problems (in use for six months).

I live in a rural area in Costa Rica and installed the two generator I purchased, with the help of a friend. The installation instructions were clear - and the generators are functioning perfectly when our frequent electrical outages occur. I am a happy customer!

Just 3 weeks after our install, our block suffered a 6 hour power outage. Driving home after work, i didnt realize all the dark houses. Walking into the house, i dint even recognize the sound of the engine running, and my son was on the couch watching TV, just as normal. Only when my neighbor texted to ask if my power was out Los, did i realize that the generator was indeed running and that our home was the only one on the street with power, just as we had planned for! It was an empowering & great feeling to know we're no longer at the mercy of our 3rd world power grid infrastructure.

This is the first review I have ever written in my life. The day after Thanksgiving 2016 we had an ice storm, power was off for 6 days! the day after Christmas 2016 we had another ice storm, this time power off for 7 days! both times we stayed at my parents house (they have a Generac 20K) it ran non-stop every day, both times. We have since purchased a Generac 22K for our home, and it has worked great.

On 1/02/2017 we lost electricity at 8:25 AM just as I began to work on an important project in my home office. In 7 seconds my General 22 kw generator turned on, restored power to all but a/c systems. After an additional 20 seconds the first a/c system came back and 15 seconds later the next one turned on. I was able to work for the 3 hours that it took for service to be restored. The generator is just outside my window and the sound is similar to a riding lawnmower at idle! What great peace of mind.

This is my 3rd home and my 2nd whole house generator. Never had one issue with the installation or operation. When I sold my 2nd home, the whole house generator was mentioned by the buyer as the reason they purchased my home. Value, confidence and security are instantly added.

We recently had a wind storm and lost electricity for five hours. Five seconds after the power went off our generator fired up and we continued our activities. Our special needs daughter continued watching her cartoons as we prepared dinner. Best investment I've ever made.

Great looking stand alone generator that I have not had the use of as yet, but just knowing it is there for me when I have a power failure gives me great piece of mind. It looks good in the cabinet, and the installation was great. Knowing that whether I am home or not, in the middle of the night, or at any time in between, my home will be protected by my automatic Generac generator.

We had a Generac whole house 22kw generator installed by a Generac recognized contractor. Could not be happier. Last week we lost power during the night for about 45 minutes. Everything worked so well didn't even know the power was out except for the clock on the microwave.

I bought my 22KW wifi enabled unit in April of 2024 along with a service contract from my authorized installer. For the 18 months the unit reliably performed its weekly check run along with providing power during half a dozen power outages that typically lasted from 15 minutes to 2 hours. Many times I didn’t even know the generator turned on and only found out in the monthly email report. Then we had a bad snow storm in March 2026 that knocked out power for nearly 4 days. The generator ran flawlessly. I am very happy we bought this unit.
