As an electrical contractor we install many Generac 22kw generators period after installing a bunch of them I had to get one for my self. After Hurricane Matthew running off a small generator just did not cut it so we installed the 22kw with a 200 amp automatic transfer switch at my own house. My wife thought it wasn't necessary and then hurricane Irma hit. 4 days without power, well let me restate that for days with my neighbors without power but not us. It was just like having the power on but it was all generator. It ran everything from our Central AC to even the hot tub which we left on by accident. Everyone says it uses a lot of propane but I say no it does not it is very propane efficient. We have 120 gallon propane tank that is filled up to 80%, after four days straight of use it was down to 45%. To me that was amazing. Just to have all our Lights TV air conditioning two different refrigerators and many more items running was a dream. Thank you Generac for making such a great product

This 14 KW Generator was installed on 12/8/21 by (3) installers with completion after about 6 hours. The installation looks professionally done. The generators WiFi module was connected to my WiFi and a simulated outage was successfully completed with the generator automatically being energized. The simulated outage was recorded on the Mobil Link 'Status' page. The Mobil Llnk App was showing a 4 - 6% signal strength. Three days after the installation, we had a 40 hr outage due to high wind and the generator performed flawlessly, but the WiFi Mobil Link, not so good. The operation of the generator during the actual outage was not recorded on the Mobil Link status page. I checked the signal strength of several of my devices at the generator site and they all picked up a full signal in comparison to the generator WiFi Module's 4-6% signal. A subsequent call to the installer resulted in my being redirected to the Mobil Link 855 number with a request to pass anything I learned back to the installer for their education. The first call to Mobil Link concluded with a recommendation that I needed one of their recommended WiFi extenders because the generator WiFi Module doesn't work well with dual band WiFi systems such as the GoogleNest mesh system I have. After purchasing and installing a TP Link N300 extender, I upgraded my signal strength from 6% to 20% for the WiFi Module and with a recent update to the Mobil Link app increasing it to 28%. Since this was still well below the 40% signal strength that is recommended in an article at the Mobil Link Tech Support website, I called their Mobil Link 855 number again with my previously opened case number and was told they didn't have any further recommendations to improve the WiFi signal and 28% was probably good enough to avoid disconnects. I think this should have been a turn key installation with the installer assessing what is existing at the proposed installation site, quoting what is required to make the system work as recommended (including the WiFi Module) and then assuring it does so when the installation is completed. I think there needs to be a WiFi antenna external to the generator housing, but apparently Generac doesn't yet.

Living in the country we depend on electrical energy for our water well pump and sanitary system as well as all household applications. The Generac standby generator gives us peace of mind that we will have running water as well as lights during a utility outage.

We just had generator installed yesterday 11-2-20 by Beacon Power Systems out of Saucier, MS. Corey, Billy & Reece were the installers, they did a fantastic job with the set up. It took them 6 hours to install. On that, my neighbor had a Kohler generator installed, it took them 3 days and still had to come back because it would not work. Billy the electrician sure knew his trade. After the installation, Corey went over the operations of the generator with me, he was very thorough. This crew was very professional, and I would highly recommend them.

We have a Large Home with two Geothermal Furnaces, 3 Floors with multiple bathrooms and kitchens. Testing showed we would be able to turn all lights, run furnaces, well and necessary appliances during a power outage. It was hooked to the whole house, but of course we would not run all appliances at the same time during a storm. The peace of mind is very reassuring if we do have a power outage for an extended period of time.

After installing we had an outage shortly after and was put to the test pretty quickly... While the outage was less than an hour it is very comforting to know that the generator can provide whole home power without compromise... I would recommend using a concrete slab reinforced with rebar over the composite base as the composite base will not be as sound for the generator...

I have a 16 k generac generator that I bought in 2006. Never gave me any problems, except that the base it's all rusted. I'm going to give it to my nephew, so he could get a new base for it and install it at his house. I just bought a new one 18 k and I love it. Hopefully this one doesn't get rusty. Maybe I'm asking for too much because my 16 k it's almost 16 years old. But in general I'm very pleased with the performance. I do recommend Generac.

Hightower Electric was an excellent choice for obtaining our Generac standby automatic generator system. Mike Lowrey explained the correct sizing of the generator needed and dealing with local gas utility. He obtained the permits from the township, kept us informed of schedule progress, performed the work on the agreed date and scheduled the two township inspections required before final acceptance. He offered as an add-on option a replacement of our home's old main electrical panel box with new circuit breakers and proper grounding. There were no surprises, in terms of project scope, schedule and cost.

I recomend Generac Generator, We live in a rural area, today we lost power for about four hours, this generator is amazing! I recomend this brand to anyone that is looking for a quality product that will take over during a power outage. Cecilia

This is our second whole home generator. We upgraded our home and chose to upgrade our Generac, and so glad we did! Love the Wi-Fi Feature, it's so quiet, and safety features are a bonus. Shortly after install, our power was out for over 12 hours, on a hot summer day, however, our Generac powered right up. If you live in the country or have someone with medical concerns that make it difficult to move them from place to place, don't go another day without getting one installed!
