This unit needs a wiring harness or a different location for the terminals. It is difficult to get the heavy wire into the limited space provided and the location of the terminals is not easy to reach. I have not had a power outage since installing so I am not sure how well it will work.

We are very pleased with our Generac generator. It was installed in April 2017 and by the end of May we had already seen the benefits of our Generac 3 times! It is quiet, and the switch over from normal to generator is seamless. Great product - so glad we purchased!

Great unit 22kv. Had a factory control problem. Contractor fixed "No Charger" and I was up and running. Had two outages that were over 35 mins. long and its a shock to be the only one around with lights and air conditioning. Got a three year service contract and still under review on that. It is quite compared to some I have heard. It charges the 12volt battery and system checks: starting, load, and shutdown each month.

We got our generator installed just a few weeks before Hurricane Hermine hit last summer. We have had several power outages since, and the Generac unit has responded perfectly every time. It is quite reassuring to face storms with the knowledge that you are not going to lose power. (And I think even our neighbors are appreciating it as well!)

The generator is top quality and is allowing my hundred year old mother to remain in her home with only part time caregiver service. She would be too nervous about power outages to live alone without it. We have confidence in your product. A neighbor has agreed to shovel around the generator if there is more than 8 inches of snow so it can work. It is worth the expense. Installation by one of your certified installers is important too.

Purchased at the right time,researched price,quality and performance ..picked Generac and experienced a power outage for 5 1/2 hours. Transferred over and back without a hitch.(mother in law was home and didn't notice anything). One of the best investments i ever made.

I live in an area that can have long outages after storms. Even though at first i thought it a bit of a luxury, a few months after installation i had an accident that left me paralyzed. Now with power chairs, electric controlled beds, lifts and chairs it has become an indispensable asset.

I can only respond to the monthly start-ups and the comfort of having it in place for outages. I have not needed for any amount of time yet and can only hope it stands up to its first test under fire ;) The remote access / smart phone option should be standard equipment...its 2017..someelse will beat you to the punch and steal some of your business, you need to stay on top! i loose electric at least 3-4 times a year for about a week . last summer lost it for 9 days ! had to go to the “Y” for baths and showers,,,, lost about a thousand dollors of frozen meats ,,,and couldnt watch my favorite shows after a gruelling day in the body shop ! wont have to worry now unless the grid goes out and my natural gas shuts down . might have to add a standby tank of LP . easy switch ,,,, just turn a knob on the carb !!!!! ALL IN ALL A PURCHASE WELL WORTH THE MONEY

Have not had a loss in commercial power since installation (naturally) but unit starts well on auto start cycle. I installed cold weather kit, so far the coldest temps at start up have been + 20 f and start up was fine. Hope to get a day below zero and see how it preforms. Don
