[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This mattress is really great. It is firm enough that I do not sink into it, but it isn't hard either. It is thick enough that all of the new sheets fit it too. I hadn't had this brand of mattress before this one and I wish I had tried it sooner. Other mattresses I had in the past were always too soft. This mattress being firm is going to help my back pain and I'm already sleeping better. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My husband and I treated ourselves to a new bedroom set when we bought our forever home. Initially, we purchased a foam-mattress based product. After 2 weeks, I couldn't sleep on that mattress anymore. Aches, pains like I never experienced. Everything hurt. That mattress was like sleeping on a cold brick - and the sheets kept coming off! So until our 30 day sleep guaranttee kicked in, I was on the couch. We went back to the retailer and they were great with the exchange. We tried every traditional mattress in the store and kept coming back to our Stearns & Foster Estate Collection soft pillow top. Less than a week later, on our first night sleeping on it (ironically our anniversary!), we both felt a150% improvement in our sleep and felt awesome when we got up in the morning. No aches, no pains. Just a nice, restful, comfortable sleep. Ready to take on the day!

I purchased this mattress from Mattress Firm. I explained to the salesperson I had chronic back pain and he showed me the Stearns and Foster. Of course, the mattress in the showroom was very comfortable, but when I got the mattress home, and layed on it, I knew something was wrong. I could feel the coils just from sitting in the bed. My back pain increased dramaticly from sleeping on the mattress. But, I realized the mattress I laid on in the showroom, the top of the mattress was dark blue (which was the Lux). After I realized what I received & what I layed on in the store was different, I immediately called the salesperson. I was told since I got the mattress on a deal they wouldn't take it back. I even went as far to as to speak with the manager...I was told he was the manager. I asked him if he could speak to his manager and explain what happened. I called back and was told that there was nothing they could do because I got the mattress on a deal. WOW...now I'm back again looking for a mattress that does not give me pain. I feel like I was taken advantage of. I hope someone from Stearns and Foster can make this right.

It is too squishy and is far from firm. It is also extremely hot to sleep on. It cannot be flipped, however we do, because the side without the foam is more comfortable and less hot. In short, you'd be better off financially and loads more comfortable buying a futon and sleeping on that. This mattress has changed my life by causing me to wake up every morning with a backache. I haven't had a good night's sleep since we purchased it. I am tired, achy and grumpy. There is absolutely nothing to love about this mattress. Don't be a fool! Save your hard earned money and spend it elsewhere!!!

My wife and I were in need of a good mattress due to problems with our backs, we purchased our mattress at Ashley Furniture were we tried many out and settled on the Sterns & Foster Estate Firm Pillow Top. Our first night was getting use to the firmness and after that it was sleeping like a baby, we love our new Sterns and Foster mattress, we spent more than we wanted to but it was well worth it. We love our new mattress and are telling all of our friends. Thank You Sterns & Foster for a great mattress.

From day one we had the comfort and support that we have always looked for and not found till now. Bed is soft but has all the support for back or side sleeper. There is no sag in any area of the mattress. It does not sleep hot which is a relief. I sleep hot as many mattresses do. For people with back issues this bed is worth a try.

The S&F Estate Plush is a great mix of support and softness. I am a side sleeper and sleep occasionally on my back. I exchanged a S&F Lux Estate Medium PT for this mattress, I sank too much into it causing lower back pain. This one is perfect and costs less.

We bought our Sterns and Foster mattress 6 years ago. About 3 years ago, despite turning the mattress every 3-6 months and buying a box spring suggested by a salesman, we noticed that the mattress started developing dips. Now the dips are even deeper. The mattress was never really comfortable and now it is unbearable to sleep on. I have never had to replace a mattress this quickly!
