Diet Pepsi drinker for many, many years but this one just tasted a little more well-rounded to me—and the little bit of extra caffeine doesn’t hurt! Wife still drinks Diet Pepsi for years—oh, we’ve grown apart! Just kidding. Just wish Pepsi would come back with the Pepsi zero mango—it was supposed to be a permanent new addition to their line up I read but it was only out, in my region at least (SW Ohio), for maybe 6 months(?). My mother’s region (32034) had it for slightly longer but then it disappeared too. I doubt Pepsi corporate has much say so re: local distributors but just in case they’re reading this: Please roll out the Pepsi Zero Mango again but really advertise it because everyone I had try it LOVED it and said they’d buy it themselves if available. Mango has been a real food/drink/ice cream explosion in the grocery aisle the last few years so I can’t help but think people would buy it if they only knew it was being stocked in their area. Believe me, I did a goodly amount of research on it—trying to get it from ANYONE—when my local Walmart and Kroger and my mama’s Publix stopped carrying it and it ALWAYS had higher star ratings than Diet Pepsi or even Pepsi Mango and all I could find were other crazed people like me trying to find it. Reddit had sub-Reddit’s on the mango flavor and no one could find it. What’s also interesting I thought is that the Pepsi Zero Mango seemed to consistently get better ratings than sugar-sweetened Pepsi Mango. Interesting. C’mon Pepsi, listen to those of us with diabetes, those of us dieting, those of us trying to avoid dental cavities and also those of us who know—for once—the daggum no-calorie option actually tasted BETTER than the full-calorie one—bring back Pepsi Zero Mango! We love it! And just in case you’re wondering, I submitted online requests to Pepsi.com three times, but alas, it went unheard. Give us another chance and: 1)advertise it more heavily in targeted areas (might I suggest you start with the Dayton, Oh area 😉) ;2)don’t merely give a generic coupon for any of your flavors—send a coupon for one or two FREE cans of Pepsi zero Mango (e.g. in Val-Paks) to homes where those of us over 30 are likely to reside (I know you’ve got the demographics); 3) other vendors put free samples of drinks, foods, etc in doctor offices (hey, so many of us are on weight-loss meds, or see an endocrinologist these days) that having been a health-care provider myself, I for one would’ve gladly put those out on a lobby-table for patients to try or not—along with a coupon for future use—so know your core audience and target them, and/or 4) set up demo’s at local supermarkets, warehouse clubs, food trucks, airports, etc—I personally would volunteer to sing your praises behind a demo table somewhere (with a properly-stocked cooler of course). So Pepsi, if at first you don’t succeed—you know the rest. You have a winner in your pocket with Pepsi Zero Mango—don’t squander a great idea and an even better taste!
