Great base for a meal. You can take it in your lunch or expand it with a protein for dinner. And because they are cabbage based they don't spoil the moment you get them home like plain lettuce does.

It's a good salad mix but I do go through it and remove the thick cabbage pieces. I usually add more chopped lettuce, spinach or cabbage (whatever I have on hand) plus chopped cilantro to make the salad size larger. The pouch of shredded cheese and pepitas are just a small amount for some added flavor. The dressing pouch is sufficient and does not drench the salad heavily.

I use to love the Southwest Salad and would buy 2-3 a week. During the last few months, I’ve noticed it starts turning brown even 4 days before the expiration date. I’ve spoken to the manager and will reach out to corporate so they can let the vender know their product is now substandard.

I cannot stress enough how good this salad mix is! For the price and the size, i get one almost every week. Its so flavorful and truly give you that alert filling. If you have the opportunity to try it, I'd tell you to buy two because you'll fall in love on the first bite.

Just add chicken and more veggies and its ready to eat for lunch on the go. Comes with dressing incl a bag of cheese and some crunchy liitle thinhgs to take place of croutons.The dressing and cruchy side has a little spice. PERFECTLY well done combination. Would buy again!

These salads are great for a quick lunch or dinner. They are also good on the go. They are flavorful and I normally get at around 2 meals from the pack. I would suggest shaking the salad to coat it with the dressing if you're eating more than 1 portion. There's not a lot of dressing in the pack.

Rarely fresh, often brown lettuce pieces

I enjoy this particular salad over similar ones like the one at walmart. The dressing has a better flavor in my opinion.

Good and convenient. Usually I never have a problem but this time it had a black plastic piece of something that looked like it was broken off as the greens/veggies were mixed together…

We like this salad -- fresh and different with a real southwest tang. My only criticism is it's a relatively small package, so will only serve two, making price a bit of an issue if you're planning on serving a family of 4 or more with this.
