[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This works pretty great and it dit my mattress perfectly. Its easy to maintain and is machine washable safe. Definitely waterproof as well. I always try to goto with a waterproof material just in case anything is spilled.

I can only assume they find this material more durable, as it will have much less chance of ripping. I never had a bug or allergy problem, but when they do surface, sometimes u never know it, so its a good insurance policy....

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We just bought a new mattress for our spare bedroom and wanted something to protect the mattress since it's used for guests. I'm glad we got The AllerEase Maximum Allergy and bedbug protector, it was easy to put on the mattress and did exactly as described. I like that it zips around the mattress so it protects it 100%. We don't have to worry about bedbugs, but it is nice knowing that there isn't all of the dander, spills etc being left behind on the mattress when we have people stay over. All I have to do is unzip it and throw it in the wash and put it back on! It's easy to clean, and I can remove and replace it by myself without help. I will be getting one for our king bed very soon since we suffer from sever allergies, hopefully this will help lessen them!

I have bought multiple "Name Brand" mattress protectors! I know that the way you laundry the mattress protector depends on how they will hold up! And, if they honor your warranty.....or not!! Laundry instructions are a huge deal! The other company gave specific laundry instructions! Instruction that made it clear you had to follow for them to honor your warranty! But, all that you can find on the Allerease box or insert is (Machine Washable)!! Nothing else! I even checked on their sight! You aren't told not to turn the mattress protector inside-out because the washing machine can destroy the protective coating! Nor the same for the dryer, and also DO NOT dry on the hottest heat setting!! None of this is included! So, when you get it wrong they'll be able to say you washed it incorrectly and that voids your warranty!! This is probably by far the worse instruction of any product that I have bought in a very long time!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've been using this zippered mattress protector for a week now and I'm happy with it so far. It's true to size and wasn't as hard to put on tho I needed help from my sister. It covers the whole mattress, not just the top part and has zippers to cover the whole mattress. It's pretty comfortable and I feel clean and have been sleeping well on it. It's quiet which is a big plus since I roll around alot. Cleaning it might be annoying since it's harder to take off but so far its worth it.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Our mattress is by no means new, it has seen kids sneaking in snacks over the years and since we moved we are much more strict about what leaves the kitchen and goes into the bedroom. That being said we wanted to extend the life of the mattress and seal in any dust or allergens because I am very sensitive to mold and dust. This works perfectly. We put a piece of foam over it and there’s no way to tell it’s not a brand new mattress!

Pretty uncomfortable too, I have a plush pillow top queen bed and I felt like I was laying on the hard ground with this thing on.... it somehow just laid flat across and did not form to the contour of my usually amazing mattress. Also, I felt as if it increased the heat rather than providing a cooling/breathe able effect. After laying in bed for just a short time, it felt as if I had a heated mattress. Let’s just say multiple nights I woke up completely sweating. Definitely would be very difficult to put on with just one person, due to having to make sure it is lined up correctly, or else it won’t zipper right. Also, there is an excess piece of fabric which has to be tucked back otherwise the zipper gets stuck multiple times. The water resistance was adequate enough to not allow it to reach the mattress. As my dogs bladder will occasionally leak from too much water intake & it did not reach the mattress with this protector on.

I haven't had anything spill on it so I don't know how well it prevents leaks. However to me it is uncomfortable and doesn't feel like you're sleeping on a soft mattress. And is almost like plastic. Sounds like it to.
